Surf, swim and chill in the hammocks

Good place to meet other solo travellers! The hotel has a social host that arranges activities; snorkling with turtles, surfing, dinners, yoga, sunsetwalk to coconut tree hill and more!
Hostel has a pool with a few seats and a shower and a yoga shala with hammocks overlooking the pool. The hostel was very tidy and staff cleaned every day.
Recommend going to Weligama and surfing at Freedom Surf School during your stay here!

The only place to stay in Mirissa, Sri Lanka

I recently stayed at Jj's Hostel in Mirissa Sri Lanka. And what can I say there were a few moments I had to double check that I was at a hostel and not a boutique resort. The pool is as good as anywhere in Sri Lanka a gave me a relaxed vibe. There are also day beds scattered around the property & hammocks for extra relaxation. And if you get tired of the pool the beach is only a 2 minute walk away.
My private room was clean, comfortable and an oasis from the heat with AC & fan.
Jj's also offers breakfast with western & traditional Sri Lankan food on offer.
You can also purchase beer & wine which is perfect to watch the sun go down while sitting on the new improved rooftop & hopefully soon to be bar.
The staff are all very helpful and I was always greeted with a smile.
Jjj's is also situated close to restaurants & bars and easy to travel by tuk tuk or bus to Weligama, Matara & Galle.
My only regret is that i didn't stay longer.

Perfect hotel with a lovely pool in a great location

We stayed at JJs in November 2022. Very close to the beech yet set back in its own calm serenity. The staff were very welcoming and JJ had everything under control. The rooms were perfect too with very nice bathrooms. The best bit was the outdoor pool and terrace - we could have stayed for days. So close to great restaurants and ofc the beach. Lastly, we left some items accidentally and JJ was so accommodating and organised a courier to deliver them to our next place, no questions asked! Really pleased with the stay and would come back in a heart beat.

Great Hostel!!

This is a wonderful hostel, the people who run it are lovely, helpful and welcoming when you arrive. All the facilities are good and the rooms and communal areas are very clean and have everything you need. The pool area is lovey and well kept as well. We stayed here on a short holiday as friends and it was wonderful.
They have security 24/7 and the location is spot on for Marissa as you can walk everywhere and if not a tuk tuk is cheap to most destinations around Sri Lanka's south coast.
I would highly recommend JJ's if you are in Marissa.

Good hotel!

Stayed at this hotel while on holiday in the Messiah. I note that it was one of the cheapest in the area, but this did not affect the living conditions. The windows of my room overlooked a modest but very cozy common courtyard. The room itself was equipped with everything you need. The beach was about 10 minutes walk. In general, for my money - it was the best option.
