Amazing garden, clean and quiet place. Wery friendly and helpful

A very clean place with a beautiful garden; peaceful and away from the center. It’s perfect for the beginning or end of a trip since it’s close to the airport. The rooms are very clean and the bathroom is well-equipped. There is a minibar and a kettle in the room, and the bed is very large and comfortable.

Highly recommended

This lovely little property is the perfect stay near to the airport. It lies along side a canal lined with fishermen’s cottages and we enjoyed a boat ride in the evening as well as seeing the fishermen bring in their catch in the morning. The Cottage is family run and they could not be more helpful. We had the best platter of seafood for dinner. A lovely pool and we would have like to have stayed longer.

Top accommodation with fantastic staff

Fantastic accommodation, lovely cottage, great room and great lovely people. Very helpful with arranging transport. Super good food. Highly recommended!

Amazing Hotel -- Wonderful Staff

After 15 hours of flights, we were taken by our driver to the Cottage to recover for a night before heading up to Wilpattu National Park for a safari. Mother Nature had other plans. Cyclone Ditwah arrived in Sri Lanka at the same time we did and our stay at the Cottage ended up lasting 3 nights before the flood waters had receded enough to permit us to continue our trip. It was unbelievable how wonderfully the staff of the hotel took care of us (much of the time we had no power or internet). The rooms were clean and comfortable and built upon raised piers so we were never in danger from high water. When the storm was at its worst, our meals were delivered directly to our rooms. Somehow, the cooks managed to prepare the best meals we had on our entire trip. And, to keep our spirits up, they even sang to us. While taking care of the 4 couples staying at the hotel, they also prepared and donated hundreds of meals to the neighborhood church which was providing shelter and food to locals displaced by the floods. It is an amazing hotel staffed by wonderful people.
