The views over the valley, the tea plantations and agricultural land are fantastic. The villa is set up on a hillside, about 3km out of town. It takes approximately a 10 min tuk tuk drive into town.
The staff are absolutely lovely and extremely helpful. The hotel is beautifully presented, mostly made in wood and looking very smart. The room and bathroom were large, clean and well presented. The whole place is beautiful an dis surrounded by beautiful countryside.

This was an amazing stay! Cozy room, nice breakfast, clean facilities, and excellent staff. The views were incredible. Easy to get to the main sites if you had access to a vehicle. No complaints at all!
Note: The inn is up an extremely steep hill, so you'll need a vehicle to get there.

Chalet on a mountain

Room was very nice with plenty of hot water. It's like a European chalet with beautiful wood appointments
A little far from the city with a difficult steep road.
It's cold at 2000m so are room was cold and it took a long time to heat up.
Breakfast was not up to the standard of any places we stayed.

Sri Lankan Delight

We stopped here on our journey to Ella from Kandy.. Beautiful and really cozy.. so clean.. I was treated to a Sri Lankan breakfast that was so delicious...

Best Place in Nuwara Eliya

We stayed two nights at Cottage San Francesco in Nuwara Eliya and loved it! Situated on top of the ridge overlooking Nuwara Eliya, our room had a magnificent view back down the valley towards Gampola on the Kandy Rd with clouds breezing through us as we stood on the balcony. Yes our car trip up to the Cottage was an experience. It is narrow and it winds up the ridge revealing a most stunning building. The design, materials used and craftsmanship are first class. The rooms are huge, very clean and we had everything we needed. We decided to have our evening meal [Curry and Rice] in house and it was excellent. But hey, wait till you see the breakfast laid out in front of you in the morning – wow! The morning we departed to try and get the train to Ella, our wonderful host boxed up the remainder of our huge breakfast for us to enjoy for lunch on the train. This is a family run business and they go beyond expectation to make you feel welcome. In fact, on the night the power went out [it tends to happen often in Sri Lanka] our host raced out to start their generator and provide power until the main electricity returned. Only a couple of minutes, but 15 minutes later, a quiet tap on our door to have a tray of hot drinks for us and to make sure we were ok. I give this place the highest possible rating because they really do deserve it.
