Nice place for surfing in Arugambay :) Great package!!
The food was so yummy and I am already missing it a lot!! Sometimes they did cook by themselves and sometimes they bought the best Kottu or what I wished for. The everyday king coconut from the garden was delicious and healthy :)) The room was okay - nothing special, but okay to stay in... just you need not to be afraid of spiders or cockroaches, but there is a mosquito net, so no worries. ;)
All in all I liked it so much, that I came back after going south for 2 more nights before going back home- it is a place to chill and calm down. They always helped me with everything- finding the right busses, dropping me to the bus station, etc. And what I also really liked was, that it is not in the main tourism area of Arugambay... it is in the beginning, so right after Pottuvil and perfect for a walk on the beach or on the streets of Arugambay to the main places, where there it is lively.
THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!!! I will come back :)

Very quite place and helping staff
We had a perfect stay at star rest beach hotel. The rooms are right on the main street at Arugam Bay, meaning you’re one turn away from most shops and eateries. We didn’t have to use an auto rickshaw the entire time we stayed. The rooms are standard for Arugam Bay in general, but very clean, relatively quiet at night and with good AC. Last but definitely not least, the host/housekeeper Rauff was gracious, diligent and respectful. He goes the extra mile to help his guests with anything they ask, and deserves all credit for his great service. Big ups and all five stars to Ansa and the team!

Very Helpful staff and valuable for money
such a great location. practically on the beach , fell asleep at night and woke in the morning to the sound of the ocean. host was such a lovely man and let us keep one of the rooms (at a charge) so we could shower and leave bags there before 8pm check out. organised bus tickets for the overnight bus to Colombo and organized tuk tuk to the bus stop. one of our party forgot a glasses case and he arrived at the bus stop with it !! breakfast was delicious and included in the very reasonable rate, and served at what time suited us thanks so much for your hospitality Air conditioning was brilliant
