Oceanfront haven for coastal peace lovers
Nillaveli is a haven for peace seeking beach lovers and the Condos, although not where we would usually stay as we go simple, we luxurious and beautiful, with direct access to the sea.
The staff were brilliant also and made us welcome from the start. Plus the restaurant in the reception area served good inexpensive food. Really nothing bad to say and Roshan on front desk is totally charming too.

The property is poorly managed because each apartment has a different owner. The reception frequently refers guests to the individual owner instead of resolving issues, making even simple requests frustrating.
During our stay, requests for missing towels, shampoo, shower gel or Wi-Fi problems often went unanswered. Calling reception was usually ineffective, and we repeatedly had to go there in person before anything happened.
Another important point: apartments are not cleaned during your stay. Housekeeping is only done after check-out, which is disappointing, especially for longer stays.
Maintenance is clearly lacking, with defective equipment, noisy construction work and inconsistent management of facilities.
Sound insulation is also very poor. The windows let almost every outside noise through. Besides the sound of the ocean, nights are disturbed by the pool area, numerous stray dogs and other animals, making it difficult to sleep.
We also noticed stray dogs inside the property, litter in common areas, and several safety concerns, including exposed or poorly protected electrical installations near the swimming pool and children’s area.
While the location is beautiful, the poor maintenance, lack of service, weak management and safety concerns mean we cannot recommend this property, especially for families with young children.
