Stolen MacBook
Unfortunately, I forgot my MacBook in the room after check-out. Shortly thereafter there was cleaning. When I discovered it, I immediately contacted the hotel and drove all the way from Denmark back to search myself, but the computer was gone. At the same time, my charger and an oil are missing, and none of the parts have been found in their lost and found.
The hotel itself has stated that there have been no other guests in the room after us that day and that it was only the cleaning staff who had access. It makes it even more incomprehensible that things just disappeared without any explanation.
The hotel's handling has been under criticism. I have asked several times if they have undergone surveillance, but they do not answer at all. Instead, I was told that they trusted the cleaner because she had worked there for 20 years. It is simply not a serious answer in a situation where a guest's belongings are gone.
Later, I was suddenly informed that there was also a person under training inside the room, but this was not followed up or examined further.
In other words, no real study has been conducted. They just chose to reject the case.
The fact is that my things were in the room, and subsequently the hotel staff had access. Still, I am now standing without both computer and other properties and without any kind of responsibility or help from the hotel.
I can in no way recommend the place if one expects one’s property to be handled responsibly.
