Christmas holidays at Tällbergsgårdens Hotell

A really nice Christmas at the hotel! Amazing food, well worth visiting just that, and a fantastic reception by staff. Thank you!

Beautifully decorated hotel in old style with good food - with understaffed staff o a management m famous surname in Tällberg - without sa

As a solo traveller f 1956 for 1st time booked me at TG - among all hotels in Tällberg- in a Basic DR from 30/4 - m requests for a room with blue furnishings- until 3/5 incl train transfer to Tällbergs Station - o combined a Dinner package Walpurgis 30/4 m Weekend package Fri - Sun 1-3/5 o bet extra for Afternoon tea 2/5 - ang other guests at A Tea - all came from outside!
It was already known from the beginning that I do not eat meat o birds o already on Walpurgis em / evening that I am chronically ill o in great need of rest - when the problems in room 11 bv to the garden next to the entrance began - when it turned out that the shower mixer was broken - ie button on the part of the mixer t hay we press o the same part we turn on o regulate the water temperature with was gone o the boiling hot water was scalding me - called when the reception o had to speak with "Carina" who later turned out to be Carina Åkerblad - the wife of the owner couple!
In addition, B DR No 11 was very warm and straight view - had to use fan during em!
Offered in connection to dinner at 18 room change o was shown 2 different Classic DR o moved up to room 16 - very time wasted first unpack o then down o up again - o steep staircase- however cool nice beautiful room albeit with loose toilet seat!
CÅ suddenly told me that room 11 would renovate in about 4 weeks - despite a problem room, this C DR no 11 was still rented - to elderly guest 3 nights - o on his 1st visit - but not the 1st visit to Tällberg!
Despite stay Walpurgis o beginning of May - advised high summer heat - whereupon I elderly sick guest on 2/5 needed to drink ngt refreshing gvis alcohol-free - went to the bar just before 12 o ordered a bottle of "Blueberry cider" a 75kr- once I went out o sat down on the porch o poured 2/3 about of a wine glass o taken a sip of drink with synthetic taste - I turned the bottle - o found that no blueberries were in the drink, alcohol content was 4.5% o contained sulphite - whereupon I could immediately see that it was not the drink for me - went int receptionist R Kramer o said along the lines of: What is this? o showed on the content + that I said: I do not drink alcohol!
Got a reply: I don't read on the back of the bottle o showed myself on a bottle of alcohol-free Briska - but without offering me this instead o at the current price!
At 1 pm on 2/5 A Tea was served - despite told if do not eat meat o birds - this was served - and then had to tell o got new!
Just hours later around 5 pm I start to feel strange in my back and stomach - but not THEN nausea!
At 1815 the restaurant went for booked 2-course dinner but could barely eat ngt and only drank less than 1 glass of non-alcoholic beer - again long wait for the food!
About 1930 I left the restaurant - luckily - because on the last steps up to room 16 I started to feel sick got the room door open and just had time to t toilet door to 2 times cascade vomit over toilet floor walls o clothes + later in the evening vomit 3 times more!
I read about sulphite which was in the "Blueberry cider" o possible side effects - stomach problems nausea o vomiting!
Despite several MailComplaints including reminders m start 13/5 o complementary comments after ruined weekend at TG - refuses wealthy Tällberg couple Jerk o Carina Åkerblad to compensate according to my suggestion : New Weekend package in Classic Dr + 75kr for Blåbärscider - nor others alt for compensation!
Warning issued - choose another htl - many nice in Tällberg - where the owner appreciates his guests o want them back!

Unfresh and expensive

In the shower there was plenty of mold along the joint between the floor and the wall, it seemed that the sealant released in several places. It was not possible to switch between hand and ceiling shower, the knob had no function.

Boring rooms in hostel standard from the 80s.

Very old worn rooms with hostel standard from the 80s. The bathrooms were not ok. At least you could make sure that the bathroom curtain is absolutely fresh. The decor is also the archaic tex old bed bases, so the standard pulls down the whole grade here. The staff have a bit to work on and some probably need more experience. To say at afternoon coffee that some cookies are not included because they are too expensive is just stupid. The best thing about the stay was the food, it was abundant and tasty. But to just observe an even birthday with a flag on the table is just unnecessary. So the conclusion is that there are better hotels in Tällberg and we unfortunately do not feel that we want to come back.
