Breakfast-goers!

We were hungry for a hotel breakfast in our small hometown. We knew before that Stadshotellet has a very nice breakfast. It was the second time for us. Everything was laid out and a lot to choose from. The breakfast staff did a fantastic job to ensure that all breakfast guests would be satisfied. A cozy interior with many places to sit.
We were full and satisfied!

Stay below expectation

Unfortunately, our stay was well below expectations.
Upon arrival, we found that the bathroom light fixture had fallen down and was lying on the floor. It was also apparent that a previous repair had been attempted using double-sided tape, which raised concerns about the overall maintenance standards of the room.
In addition, there were no towels provided. After contacting reception, towels were promptly delivered, which we appreciated. However, the bathroom light remained on the floor and no comment, apology, or attempt to address the issue was made.
The shower had extremely low water pressure, making it difficult and time-consuming to rinse off soap and shampoo. The beds appeared carelessly made, and the room ventilation could not be turned off. As a result, it ran continuously throughout the night, creating noise and negatively affecting our sleep quality.
On a positive note, the breakfast was good, and the receptionist at check-out was courteous, professional, and helpful.
Overall, while there were some positive aspects, the condition of the room and the lack of attention to obvious maintenance issues meant that the stay did not meet the standard we expected. I hope these issues will be addressed to improve the experience for future guests.

Great hotel close to many restaurants and the sea

Nice room with small corner sofa that was comfortable to sit in. Comfortable beds. Good bathroom with Rituals products. Shampoo skin cream etc. Great location near the sea and great variety of restaurants.
Breakfast was very good, but my travel companion who is gluten intolerant was disappointed when the gluten-free white bread was moldy

Nice hotel with central yet quiet location.

Nice and fresh hotel within walking distance to cozy restaurants by the harbor. The breakfast buffet was also good, and garage in the basement can be booked in advance.

Good hotel

This hotel has been one of our favorite hotels. But now the new owner has closed down the pool with spa area it is a huge minus. That was so nice. We probably won't be coming back. But the hotel is great staff are very nice. Breakfast is good there is everything you want. The beds are comfortable.
