Elegantni hotel Sunstar Arosa nalazi se na mirnoj lokaciji na rubu šume. Nudi panoramski pogled na okolne planine i jezero Untersee. Spa centar se može koristiti besplatno. Razni trgovački i zabavni sadržaji nalaze se na 5 minuta hoda.

Relaxing and eventful family holidays
The hotel is centrally located yet quiet. The hotel shuttle bus will take you quickly and easily to all places. The staff are very friendly, attentive and helpful. The rooms were very clean and nicely decorated. The restaurant with its excellent cuisine also convinced us. We also appreciated the children's buffet as a family.

Lost its shine
What a wonderful and amazing hotel this was. This hotel was one that I would praise highly to everyone I know. It had everything, the perfect family atmosphere, amazinig food, good beds and a great environment for kids. You could not wish for better!!!
And then management changed .... The new duvets are about the quality standard of a youth hotel - if you are lucky you still get one of the downy ones from the old hotel. DON'T do half board - you get fobbed off for your money - the rich salad buffet is five leafy greens plus four types of vegetables (two thereof from the tin). This is followed by a tiny cup of soup and a main course where the choice is between meet or vegetarian and one sweet desert or a meagre cheese plate (which is the same each night). The selection of food for the children has shrunk too. And you pay CHF 5 for a bottle of tap water on top of the half-board that you are paying. The wine list has shrunk to the bare minimum. Breakfast is still okay but used to be oh so much better. And despite that this is a Swiss ski hotel, you will not get a cheese fondue. Unfortunately or fortunately it was heavily snowing while we were there and one of the hotel buses that should take us to the lifts did not both work because it was simply not strong enough to get up the hill, in a ski hotel ...
Having said all this, most of the staff is making a huge effort with the guests!!! We love the staff of the Sunstar Arosa for this and this is why I will still recommend the hotel. Dear new managers, please recognise the huge effort those who are working for you make and listen to them and their recommendations. Maybe even talk to the old management how they did it. As I recall, every guest was greeted by the old managers and made feel special. They took care of the little things that sometimes make all the difference, e.g. good quality toilet paper, may be some Swiss chocolate as “betthupferl”, some decorations for Valentines day, little gifts for the kids, a little “news” paper on the table with the latest weather and activities outlined. Little gestures that do not cost much but are oh so much appreciated. Food variety and quality, a working hotel bus and the quality of the beds are obviously your largest concern to be addressed. The Sunstar Arosa was a great family hotel to come to! Now it is merely a good one with room for improvement …

just under 3 stars but never 4
I still wonder today why this hotel has 4 stars. Almost 3 would be or is the sad reality. The hotel needs urgent renovation. Room rates way too expensive for this old bunker.
The Service, both at the reception and in the restaurant, was absolutely not in line with the price range the hotel considers itself to be.
The staff is untrained and did not understand how to properly serve the guests. Unfortunately, no line of professionalism was visible.
Serious mistakes occurred that should not happen in a 4-star hotel.
The rose wine is suddenly a red wine.
The morning meal Service prefers to chat with guests rather than work.
It is simply nothing done with love and has too little of anything that the guest even notices.
The salad buffet looks bleak.
I'm also amazed when we 50-year-olds are called "you."
In a hotel in this price range, we found this disturbing and totally inappropriate. We do not believe that this concept will be successful in the longer term.
The whole hotel is leadless.

Unsupervised kids club most of the time (Friday-Sunday) even on Friday when it was supposed to be supervised

Big disappointment.
Our Third party stay at this hotel was a great disappointment. Room, bathroom, cleanliness are very good. The staff in Service tried very hard, but is overwhelmed, possibly due to staff shortages, new hotel management as we seemed. The weather was very bad these days and so the offered hall for the children would have been great, but it was crowded especially by outsiders who can also use the hall, same picture in the indoor pool.. The trampoline was also defective. Already in the stairwell one notices that the four star days are probably over, the carpet full of spots, poorly patched, simply not a positive welcome.
