Very good except the cardboard glasses and cotton deficiency etc...

The Novotel chain is always perfect. Quality bedding, decor, breakfast, allergy friendly, gym.

We booked here after abandoning our apartment air BnB in the heatwave as we needed some air con. The hotel was very clean, very comfortable, the staff were very friendly, the coffee machine in the room was nice, spacious bathroom. We just found the restaurant didn’t have something we would all eat as a family with kids. It’s just a short walk to the tram stop as well to get into the centre of town. Would stay again if we came back to Basel.

Very nice hotel! The breakfast was good, and we felt very welcome here. A good thing the breakfast was free for the kids! Thank you for the stay!

Quality affordable family hotel

Our room was ready early when we arrived from the airport at midday - win!
Modern stylish hotel, helpful staff, delicious food in restaurant (though the cooked breakfast not the hottest or tastiest, the rest was great). Location not near much except huge train lines but easy to get tram in to town!
Not much to do for kids (one ping pong table & 1 gaming table in bar) but the Basel pass was great, enabling us to hop on the tram (around 5 stops) for free & offering 50% off attractions.
To reach car park from airport, turn right after hotel and you drive up the road behind the hotel. Novotel car park is towards the end of the road. Follow signs inside, quite straightforward.

Unfortunately, only very mediocre.

Once again, I cannot share the good reviews of this hotel for various reasons:
The hotel has rooms facing a busy street; from 6:00 AM, the rush hour traffic rolls in, and next door is a large construction site. At night, you can hear the sirens of emergency vehicles heading to the nearby train station. The friendliness of the staff leaves much to be desired. It seems they do not feel the need. Furthermore, the bed was much too small. My feet stuck out at the bottom even though I am of average height.
Due to a death in the family, I had to leave a day earlier. A gesture of goodwill from the hotel? Unfortunately, that was not the case.
The breakfast that was added was great and left nothing to be desired, at least a small compensation for the rest.
