An incredible site, avant-garde architecture, large and comfortable rooms, common areas, and a pedestrian street that it opens onto during the day. A unique experience. Although it may seem a bit far from the center, don't be alarmed, there is a train station 10 minutes away and you can also get there by bus and tram.
Basel is a city worth visiting and I plan to return and stay here again

Very nice hostel close to Basel Bad Station.

Very nice hostel close to Basel Bad Station. Late check in worked out perfectly fine. Dorms are only 4 people and there is everything you need to have a good stay, even Basel card which give free access to public transports! Breakfast was very good as well.

Singular and very well thought-out

I stayed at Silo with my parter and our daughter for one night in July, we all loved it. The design, the materials, the attention to details, the atmosphere. It's also very clean and practical, and the breakfast was fantastic. I will stay there again without hesitation.

Really trendy hostel with everything you need. Design is amazing and the quirky beds are designed to limit disturbing others with your night light. Beds were comfortable.
Cleaner than some hotels I’ve stayed.
Staff were wonderful and helpful, they have everything you need if you run out or forget chargers etc! They have waterproof bags if you fancy a swim in the Rhein!
Showers were clean with a hairdryer provided.
Bus stop right outside, train and tram station just a few mins walk.

good place to stay for a quick trip

Very quiet place! Room was clean. Interesting design.
The breakfast was slightly disappointing. Each morning on the small table were small portions of vegetables, small jar of hummus etc. Of course I saw extras brought, but again, very small jars for many people to share. I would consider those quantities of food for maybe 3 adults... The tables were small and self service when there are like 10-12 people was quite inconvenient.
Service very lovely and helpful. Location is big advantage od this hostel.

We’re aware that our breakfast concept can feel a little challenging during busy moments. However, it is very important to us to refill smaller quantities regularly instead of putting out large amounts at once. This helps us reduce food waste significantly, which is something we care deeply about.
At the same time, we place great importance on using local and seasonal products wherever possible, as sustainability is a central part of our approach. For us, this has become a good balance between offering a fresh breakfast and keeping waste to a minimum.
