Very nice but a bit expensive

The experience was very pleasant, the room was clean and well-maintained. I was assigned a quadruple room (one double bed/two singles and two bunk beds), even though I was alone with my little dog, in which I find it hard to imagine four people moving around (but that was not my problem). Excellent welcome for the little dog both in the room and at the restaurant. Good breakfast,
The main point I need to make concerns the prices, which are definitely excessive.

Too bad. It was nicer in the past.

We were there years ago and had very fond memories of it. Great atmosphere. Very good food.
Unfortunately, we were disappointed this time. Very expensive. The price-performance ratio is not right for me. Everything seems a bit loveless.
We stayed at the hotel for two nights. Dinner once.

A totally unsuitable person at the reception

We booked a double room on short notice. When we arrived in the evening, a very arrogant woman at the reception explained to us that we would have no water in the morning from 7:00 a.m. to approx. 10:00 a.m. I then asked for a small reduction in the price of Fr. 232.-- (we had no toilet flush, no shower, and also no water to brush our teeth). This arrogant lady gave us the following cold-blooded answer: "it is not our fault, so it has nothing to do with us." A reduction of Fr. 20.-- would have been completely okay for us. We waited at least an hour for dinner, even though there were almost no guests (salad and cordon bleu). The waiter, however, was very friendly and nice. Overall, a hotel that is not to be recommended. We have never encountered such a receptionist.

Great overnight stay except for the dining.

After two years, I return to this beautiful place. The building is well maintained, in an excellent location, easily accessible, and next to many beautiful walks and excursions. Bright, beautiful, spacious, and well-cleaned room. Just like the reception staff: kind and friendly. I chose the half-board option not knowing what would be offered for dinner. Surprise: there are no alternatives, so a first course of gnocchi preceded by a salad and a scoop of ice cream. The tap water (we are in the mountains, so it is good) is charged at 1 fr. If the dinner offering is as described, the worst part must be yet to come. The staff is young and courteous, but there is a very long wait for the courses. Arrived in the dining room at 7:15 PM, left at 9:00 PM. Waiters asking multiple times if you have ordered, while waiting for the first course you are asked if you want to have coffee... . Breakfasts with a decent good offer. Dining room and breakfast area invaded by many flies.

Good.

We were there for the first time with our dog and other members of our dog club. We felt comfortable and the food was wonderful. My husband would have liked to have a small table on the balcony so we could sit outside in the evening and have a drink. I also find Fr. 30.00 for the dog per night a bit much, despite the dog blanket and bowls, (Thank you!) especially when staying for several days and also eating there. We enjoyed the peace and the area for hiking. Very nice. Ursula Berger
