Warm hosts

A beautiful evening spent in the stars. Friendly service, courteous hosts in a cozy restaurant. Excellent kitchen with love served, cooked to the point. Home-style cuisine combined with a prize of modern cuisine.

Great night at Hotel Sternen

We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Sternen - we were so lucky to have arrived on Friday when they had a special menu on serving only alpine pig... the food was amazing... service very personable and top it off, Hotel Sternen was the Hotel my parents had their wedding reception at nearly 50 years ago. Definitely recommend a visit.:-)

Two night stay

Quiet spot in the country. The room and bathroom were adequately spacious and comfortable. The restaurant is popular and usually a booking will be required especially over weekends. They accommodated us with our special request for Bratwurst and rostie. Excellent!. Reasonably priced and great service. Our waitress spoke English and the hostess checked on us to see all was good. Great spot with fantastic views and walks!

Great Value, Great Stay

The cheapest stay of my Switzerland holiday and one of the nicest rooms I stayed in. The view was very typical of the local region. The hotel was recommended by a friend who was from the area. So glad I stayed here. Close to Appenzell and worth the extra drive.

Friendly and cozy family hotel

In the middle of the road between Appenzell and St. Gallen this nice hotel provides the opportunity to visit Appenzell, with its magnificent library, and then relax in Appenzell, a more traditional Swiss town. The hotel has a nice view of the Swiss countryside and the family room is splendid por a family with two kids.
The hotel is family run, service is warm and friendly, which is quite a highlight in Switzerland.
They also offer attractive evening menus, which we unfortunately could not try.
