Nice place which located in the top of the hill, a bit hard to find since name at tue sign not really match with the name booked from the app. But food was good have many types of food and clean.

The Palace for everyone feeling young and open to meet others sharing similar passion to nature and mountains.
Feel the energy of the Youth Palace and get to know amazing guest which appreciate somewhat humble but very nice accommodation, whole share similar passion for mountains and to openly communicate with others, spend evenings playing board games, cards or just chatting with each other. Swimmingpool is around 15 minutes walk. Don’t miss the walk along the Hohe Promenade for a mind blowing landscape and mountains view.

Quiet stay during the low season, nice staff
I stayed here at the Davos Youth Hostel (Youth Palace) for a few days during early December. Even before I stepped foot on this property, Barbara at the Zurich headquarters and Frau Wyrsch (Regional Mgr.) made all efforts beforehand to make sure my stay at the Davos property would be relaxing and enjoyable. The Davos hostel was running a special early winter season offer that included accommodations and train travel to & from their property.
Upon arrival in town with the train, I would suggest exiting the train at Davos Dorf. Exit the station and cross the street to the bus stop in front of the sport store (Steiner Sport). Take bus #1, #3, or #4, three stops to Shiabach. Walk back one block and up Horlaubenstrasse (another 5 min) to the youth hostel. The hostel has a total of 235 beds (shared and family rooms) and was formally a sanitarium (just as their property in Crans-Montana, which I have visited as well). It was the really, really low off season with only a hand-full of guests staying at the property during my stay. I actually walked from Davos Dorf train station to the hostel which is pretty easy and more maneuverable as to exiting at Davos Platz, which is more of a gradual uphill walk.

I arrived early on the morning of my check-in intending to check my bag until the check-in time later in the afternoon, but staff person, Thomas, was very nice during my stay and actually immediately checked me into my room.
Room 5*
My shared four-bunk room was very comfortable. There were so few people in the hostel; I actually had the room to myself during my entire stay. The room has its own shower, toilet, sink, 2Euro large refund deposit lockers, an old time shelf radio, work desk with two chairs, and balcony with relaxing chairs over-looking downtown and the mountains. Above each bed is reading light and box which opens for night storage for eyeglasses or personal items. The bedding was provided and the bed already made. A towel was provided for each bunk. Across the hallway were shared toilets and bathtubs with showers.

The Youth Palace offers many items to keep you busy when hangin’ out on the hostel. In the lobby area, there is a kid’s corner, exchange book shelf, and tables. At the other end of the lobby past the long sofa, there is another lounging room with padded chairs, pool table, pinball, table fussball, darts and another game. There is a currency change machine for coins in the corner. There is also a resource room full of brochures of the region. There is a table tennis room in the basement. A sundeck is located on west side of the building (a bit of rust on the roof) and a rooftop terrace. There is also an outdoor play area for kids and the building has an elevator.
Breakfast 5*
Breakfast was included in the rate and very, very good. There was a large seating room with an adjacent extra overflow room. An assortment of breads (one morning fresh croissants), hot beverage machine, tea available 24/7, fruit (whole and sliced), fruit cocktail, 4 cereals, 4 jams, 3 juices, yogurt, muesli, 3 sliced meats, 2 slices of cheese, 2 types of powdered hot chocolate, and more. A great way to start the day.
The hostel accommodation also includes the Davos card which allows free local transit on the buses and trains inclusive of travel to Klosters which I also visited during my stay.
Overall, I was pleased with my contacts with the personnel (before and while at the property), the total package and price was exceptional (including train travel), the hostel was relaxing, clean and offered many activities for the young and young at heart!
