An all around great stay!

We stayed a week with a family friend at the youth hostel in Engelberg and can only report positive things. The management and the whole team were just wonderful! We wanted to go skiing but had such bad weather for four days that we couldn't. The very empathetic management has given us new suggestions every day about what we can do alternatively with the children. Very great, this personal attention! We had a great breakfast every day with Bircher cereal, boiled eggs, delicious coffee, fresh juices, lots of breads - there was something for everyone! And the chef has also conjured up a new menu of soup, main course, salad and dessert for us every evening. The dishes were also quickly adapted to veggie requirements. Super flexible and compared to what you pay in Switzerland, a very fair price. And also great that the lemon cucumber water was always ready (we will certainly introduce this at home ). Electric kettle, microwave and guest fridge have super complemented the offer. In the evening we could all sit and play together in the dining room. It was all super straightforward! We had a 6-person room with private, modern bathroom and felt very comfortable there all. Have slept there on the good mattresses great! Even on the day of departure we could still shower after skiing. And there were many nice surprises for us this Easter. Thanks again for that! We had an all-round great stay and would love to come back!

Great hostel , great location

Very nice hostel with great atmosphere and delicious breakfast
We had an all-round pleasant stay. The hostel is particularly impressive for its cleanliness – both the rooms and the common areas were always well maintained and tidy.
A real highlight was the breakfast. There was everything you could wish for: a good selection, fresh produce and something for every taste. This is how you like to start your day!
We would also like to highlight the friendly and competent staff. You feel welcome, well looked after and taken seriously with questions at any time.
A small note for very noise-sensitive guests: The building is a bit noisy, so you can hear sounds from the neighboring rooms or from the hallway. Personally, however, this did not bother us.
Overall, we had a very positive experience and would love to come back. Thank you for the lovely stay!

But hard to find . Not in area where expecting ( due to hotel.com app being rubbish )but was better in the end . Quick check in , out by this time , breakfast this time here is key laters hahahah. No sign this , here are sheets , strip bed after list of rules i expect . 9.573 million kids there Bork , probs why loud . Lovely area to hike and bike in .
