A Superior place to stay in Grindelwald

The duplex apartment in most respects was excellent: it was spacious, the balcony was very pleasant with terrific views, good-sized living and dining areas, kitchen was appreciated, although no microwave and few utensils and cooking pots, cups and glasses etc: bare minimum. Effective fridge with small cabinet freezer. No ice tray. Good shower plus a bath. Comfortable beds. Breakfast was good.
Some negatives: upstairs bedroom very low rooflines, have to walk stooped well over. Charging 10 CHF for a self-service load of washing seemed excessive (previous reviews had referred to more reasonable 5 CHF) and the dryer didn’t work: damp clothes after 75 minutes on hot setting. No iron or ironing board in the room (although an iron was provided on request).

Perfect Swiss Hotel

This is the hotel that we wanted to experience on our first trip to Switzerland. The Eiger view balcony had a great view of 3 mountain peaks and it was like waking up to a dream setting every morning. Good breakfast and friendly staff that even picked us up from town twice for a small fee. Bus stop to and from town short distance walk. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Fantastic view and serene cozy accommodation to stay at Grinderwald

Fantastic view at the balcony, cozy and clean accommodation for a group of family and friends. We have 4 of us but this place can accomodate 6 persons. Location is convenient with bus from Grinderwald train station. A slope to climb, need some strength to push luggage up hill. First cable car station is within walking distance.
Price of the accomodation consider reasonable of a group of 6 stay in.

A stay as you wish it

Stay of 3 days; 9 adults and 5 children.
Nice, clean and spacious rooms; unique view from the balcony of the very nearby, steeply towering mountains. Fine, rich breakfast buffet. Very good dinner; once we had to wait a long time for the next course (only 1 cook in the kitchen). When the engine of one of our cars did not start in the cold morning, a hotel employee was immediately on hand with the necessary tools and solved the problem. The children appreciated the playroom and were well entertained. All staff were courteous, friendly, flexible and helpful. We thank you for the pleasant stay.

Great stay

Great stay in a quiet hotel surrounded by chalets, not far from the city center with a panorama on the terrace breathtaking. Spacious and very clean room with bath and large balcony. Free parking. Hearty and varied breakfast with fresh produce and hot food. With the bus 121 the city center is 5 minutes and the ski departure 10 minutes.
