Better than more expensive alternatives

As a Diamond member, I prefer to stay in the Hilton world. In this region (Ticino), it is not that easy. There are only a few hotels, most of them overpriced and with questionable service. This Hampton by Hilton, however, is inexpensive and everything was fine.
- Staff was friendly
The room was clean and functional
- A large parking area was available
- Breakfast buffet was good.
- The location is a little bit remote, but we simply took an Uber to the Piazza Grande, which cost around 12 CHF. It is also possible to walk to the lake promenade in Ascona and/or Locarno, but it takes a while.
Overall, if you really want to remain in the Hilton world, this is one of your best options here.

Angry/ grumpy staff at the very short breakfast

We arrived late and the gentleman at the desk was smooth and friendly. Very clean rooms with comfortable beds. However, narrow beds. Except for some shower gel in the bathroom, no further care items like toothbrushes...
We were passing through and stayed here briefly. The breakfast was very short/ meagre with grumpy staff. Brief and derogatory remarks. Not very friendly. The little that lay there did not look fresh. Old fruit.
For what you pay here, it's disproportionate to what you get in return.

This was a fantastic hotel! Very new so everything clean and up to date. Design and lighting very nice. Bed super comfortable. Room had everything you need (fridge, kettle, good-sized towels). Appreciated having a proper hair dryer and conditioner in the bathroom. Two buses go right from the Locarno station to the hotel and since the hotel offers you a Ticino ticket, I traveled all over the area without having to pay any extra fees in transportation. Staff super friendly, helpful, and present. Lots of options for breakfast. Hotel in a quiet area, but like I said with easy transport to train station. Nice running path along the river. Fitness room had foam rollers which were amazing to loosen up muscles after long days of hiking. Would definitely stay here again!!!! Thank you!

Great hotel

Very affordable hotel - even more with the Hotelcard - for all the services like nice fitness or rich breakfast or comfortable bed and modern bathroom. Located right next to bus number 7 between Locarno and Ascona!

Super friendly staff,
that also speaks good German.
Stylish and modern hotel.
The room was equipped with everything necessary and much more:
Ironing board and iron, hairdryer,
Safe, fridge, kettle
with tea bags and coffee sticks.
Comfortable mattress, super large
TV screen, enough outlets,
large, modern shower in the bathroom,
with care products.
The Ponte Maggia bus stop
is located right next to the hotel.
