Perfect.

Nice design hotel, nice comfortable and spacious family room, small but very cozy common areas, fireplace corner, beautiful living area / restaurant. Dinner very well, varied and plentiful breakfast. Central area a stone's throw from the old town and in front of the bus stops, from the train station arrives in two convenient stops. Super recommended.

All right.

Very well placed 8 minutes walk from the train station and 5 minutes from the old town. Served by many buses. Nice room with balcony. Well equipped with shower and bathtub. Ready a backpack. Very good breakfast included in the price. Good restaurant. Only one problem: it's expensive.

Very nice hotel in a great location. The staff was great! Always smiling, always friendly and always ready to assist in any way. Breakfast was excellent. We also enjoyed a great dinner there. Only suggestions that would have made it more enjoyable for me is if they had softer pillows and if electrical outlets were at more convenient locations. (I had to get on my knees and reach under a table to plug things in)

Poor service

There is no service at the front desk, it says to dial a number and there is no phone. Half an hour later a person arrives with poor service and leaves a family in separate rooms without any solution. Terrible!!

Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback. We're genuinely sorry to read about your experience, as this is far from the standard we hold ourselves to at Hotel Anker.
Normally, that sign is accompanied by a phone specifically so guests can reach us immediately if no one is at the desk. It's clear that wasn't the case during your stay, and we're sorry for the confusion and wait this caused.
Regarding the split of the family: we understand how frustrating this must have felt, especially for a family. Please know that we do not split families as a matter of course. However, due to fire safety regulations, we're not permitted to accommodate more guests in a room than it is designed, approved and booked for.
This means that if the number of guests exceeds what a room is approved for — regardless of age — we're unfortunately not able to accommodate everyone in a single room.
We don't currently have an internal report of this specific incident, so we'd really appreciate the chance to learn more about exactly what happened — including when you stayed— so we can look into it properly and address it internally. The best part of this hotel is the breakfast! Really, really amazing! The rest was not good. The location is central and close to many things, but the road outside the building is super noisy. We did not have a window in our room - it was a door to a shared balcony, and it was very weird hearing other guests hang out there. Since there was no AC and it was super hot, we had to sleep with a slightly open balcony door and a window to get some air but it was super noisy and we did not get good sleep at all. It honestly felt like a student dorm with this sharing style. We paid appx.750usd per night, which is extremely overpriced for what we were getting. If I were to come back to Lucerne, I would try to stay at a hotel with a lake view for a more peaceful sleep. All in all, i believe there are better hotels in Lucerne than this one.
