Unbeatable views and fantastic service

Our family of 4 enjoyed our 2 night stay with fantastic views of the surrounding alps. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Service was friendly and we appreciated the boutique charm of the hotel. The food in the restaurant was very good as well. The property is an easy walk from the cable car. We would definitely stay here again next time we are in Muerren.

Great, I would gladly return.

Small single room but well thought out, everything is there, very practical.
Nice balcony with a magnificent view of the three Bernese mountains.
Super friendly, efficient, and pleasant staff.
Reasonable price, good bedding.
Only downside: the bed is a bit small (80cm?)

Amazing hospitality by Frej and great location!

Hotel Alpina succeeded our expectations! The room was comfortable and nicely decorated with a beautiful view from the balcony. The location was perfect! What made our stay extra enjoyable was the EXCEPTIONAL hospitality provided by FREJ who was working at the front desk. He was so genuine, kind, helpful and eager to please. He is the kind of person that nothing is too much trouble. He made us feel like we had a friend in Murren! Nothing was a bother for him. He truly added to our stay. I hope he knows the difference he makes. I was just reminiscing about our time in Switzerland and he came to mind. People who work in hospitality may not realize how much their kindness/helpfulness means. I think it is extra appreciated when you are from another country and have been planning the trip for a year or more (and feel a little vulnerable when you don't speak the language, are not familiar with the area, etc.). Don't hesitate to stay at Hotel Alpina. I hope you have the chance to meet Frej. I am confident he will make your stay as enjoyable as he did ours.

A Happy Repeat Customer

We had another wonderful stay at the Hotel Alpina! The rooms are basic and very clean, but the real feature is the absolutely beautiful view from the balcony. Murren is the best place to stay in the Lauterbrunnen Valley as it's a little quieter than down in the actual valley and the trails are at your doorstep. It's important to note that the hotel doesn't have any elevators so you must be comfortable with walking the stairs, but the views are worth it!
