It's a pity that one thing tarnishes an otherwise good result.
I highly recommend a room with a lake view. The balconies and terraces are very nice and offer a high level of relaxation. I also enjoyed the breakfast. The terrace, where one can have breakfast with a view of the lake, is particularly pleasant.
Another plus is the pool. It is large enough to actually swim some laps, which I greatly appreciated.
The half-board offers a decent price-performance ratio. I would describe the quality of the food as solid and overall acceptable.
Minor inconsistencies, such as a forgotten towel in the room, can occur and did not significantly affect my stay.
I was less satisfied with the seating arrangement at dinner. Although I, as a solo traveler, had asked early on for a table with as clear a lake view as possible, I received a seat in the middle rows during my stay.
What particularly irritated me was that several guests at the tables in the front row had obviously just arrived that evening. I even noticed that some of them were explicitly pleased to have received such a seat. This gave me the impression that these seats were not exclusively assigned long-term or reserved for the entire duration of the stay.
In response to my inquiry, the hotel management explained that the table assignment depends on various factors and that already assigned seats cannot be changed easily. I could only partially understand this explanation based on my observations. Especially since I had expressed my wish for a table with a clear lake view multiple times, I would have wished for more flexibility or at least more transparency in the assignment of the particularly attractive seats.
As a solo traveler, I unfortunately had the impression that I played a secondary role in the table assignment. This noticeably tarnished my otherwise very positive overall impression of the hotel.
Should I stay at this hotel again, I would probably forgo half-board and instead take advantage of the numerous dining options in Locarno and the surrounding area.

Wonderful break in Ticino
The Service is excellent, everything is extremely clean, and it is excellent for families with children.
The pool is wonderful, and there is plenty of room for a cozy meal – indoors and outdoors.
We always like to come to this beautiful hotel – the view alone is priceless!

Tip top from tip top
Second stay in this simply perfect hotel, delicious food (breakfast formula), clean room with stunning views. Impeccable swimming pool, parking on site.
The staff is professional and very helpful, little nod in particular to René and Helena very warm and professional.
They deserve a 4th star!!!
Looking forward to returning as soon as possible as a family.
