Murg - Walensee - Hotel Rössli - the best combination

Seeblick Hotel & Restaurant Rössli is a small oasis in Murg, on Lake Walensee. It offers everything a family-run private hotel can do: friendly and loving atmosphere, good cuisine conjured up with fresh ingredients a’la minute, nice and extremely attentive service. Worth mentioning are the beautiful views of the lake and the mountains, the ample parking available for the car and motorcyclists. The rooms are top clean and the beds very comfortable.

Share bathroom and shower with entire floor. Charge a 25 chf resort fee on top. Resturant not open on Saturday and patio inaccessible. Not what I expected

Here, a hotel operation is feigned that is no longer in existence. Not recommended!!

Attention: Hotel is for sale - little service
Those who come for the view will not be disappointed.
However, those seeking hotel comfort will be very disappointed. The property is for sale, and the ongoing operation seems almost to have ceased. There is no reception, and we hardly saw any other guests. The breakfast service was a disappointment. While the first two days were somewhat acceptable, the last day was completely unacceptable. We were not even provided a table on the terrace. We were told to eat inside, despite the beautiful summer weather. Only upon my explicit request was a table set outside. When I then asked to open the umbrellas for some shade, it was done, but the expression on the face clearly indicated that even this small task was considered a bothersome extra effort. Such behavior demonstrates a complete lack of hospitality and professional competence. Although we were the only guests on the last morning, no one ever came to the table to check on everything. O. is. We had to seek out the service inside each time just to be able to order a coffee.

1 night and be gone....

Parking okay, without reception check in with door code, room smells musty, dated from the 70s, outside terrace is nice view but the music on stand " disco" and the terrace is full of weeds, staff looks disinterested, expensive for what you book, we were there 1 night but then you have to get out of there soon...

All in all: a disappointment

First: the location is great. Spacious terrace with a view of Lake Walensee.
But: the decor is cheap and loveless. The staff sober, not to say dismissive. We didn't feel welcome. The hand soap in the bathroom of Aldi....
