A good choice if you are looking for an uncomplicated hotel
The Belvair is a great choice for spending a few relaxing days in Scuol. The hotel offers a lot at an attractive price. The ambiance is quiet as most guests are already of retirement age. The biggest advantage of the Belvair is of course the direct lift to Bogn Engiadina, while in the other hotels of the Belvedere family you have to walk a distance and also climb stairs. Our room was comfortable, the bathroom very functional and the room cleaning impeccable. I also appreciated that my wish for a room on the top floor was fulfilled. The breakfast buffet was well assorted, it was also regularly replenished, only the arrangement in a niche is not optimal, as the guests get in the way of themselves. Unfortunately, my input at the time to purchase a second coffee machine was not implemented. Tip: to avoid always having to wait in line, simply order a pot of coffee at the table, which you can also do with egg dishes. Unlike our visit in 2023, dinner no longer appealed to us that way. We no longer found it so finely tuned and dressed. You can now benefit from a dine around with a booked half-board and also eat at Belvedere, Nam Thai and Guardaval, which is a real culinary enrichment, with advance notice at no extra charge. All in all, the Belvair is a very uncomplicated and relaxed hotel. All staff are very friendly, friendly and what stands out – many have been loyal to the hotel for a long time. Like many guests, by the way, there must be something to it!

PERFECT! I will definitely return.
Absolute perfection. This is not a 3 star hotel, it deserves 4. Being part of the belvedere family it is connected via walkways to the other hotels, the spa and various restaurants. I stayed with: half board and generous afternoon snack + ski pass included + entrance to the wellness center with swimming pool, sauna and every comfort + bus to Scuol included (to reach the station, to go skiing etc...). The cuisine is delicious! I have often complimented the chef. Excellent cleanliness, clean rooms, the cleaning ladies were really good. They cleaned and tidied up respecting personal objects and privacy. Really good waiters. They don't stand still for a moment. Always at attention, ready to fill an almost empty glass and make sure that breakfast, lunch or dinner is to your liking. The only thing I thought the whole time was: I hope they get paid well! Because they work really well. It is not possible to bring your cell phone into the wellness center and it is beautiful for this reason. I went at closing when there was no one there to take some photos to show the place to friends and recommend it, obviously I was scolded by the guard (despite having asked permission from the previous guard who had agreed to allow me to take landscape photos at closing ). This was the only flaw, ok no photos when there are people and the center is open, but when it is closed allowing some shots of the beautiful place can only bring benefits to the structure itself.
Overall, value for money is excellent. The cost is around €300-350 per day for 2 people with: breakfast, snack, dinner, ski pass, bus, welcome drink, gym, swimming pool, spa etc...

In the structure you will find everything you need, at the reception of the wellness center you will find a boutique selling swimsuits, slippers, souvenirs and 3 fountains where you can taste the water from some local sources.

Great for access to the Thermal baths, family friendly
We spent 5 days at Badehotel Belvair during Covid times as our first getaway for the year. The Engadin valley was the perfect place to go for quiet walk and enjoy the thermal hotspring waters at the extensive Bad Scual facilities which are attached. The bath entry price is included in the hotel price.
There's only 33 rooms, and two types. We stayed in both because we extended our trip and had to book a smaller room for the extension, so we have a great comparison. The basic rooms are comfortable without being massive, but all do have mountain views from a small 2x2m balcony with nice flowers. The family rooms are almost the same but have a kind of mostly private lobby area with what I think it another fold out bed. That was convenient when I had to do some work and would be perfect for a family. Strangely, the bathroom door is transparent, faces directly on a large mirror in the hallway, and the toilet is aligned on with both the door and mirror, That's actually quite a turnoff to watch yourself sitting on the toilet, and there's no privacy if anyone walks past at the time... not so family friendly. They should really, really put some privacy film on those doors. That was not an issue in the basic rooms due to the configuration. Oddly also, the family room had no fridge, but the basic rooms did. I suspect what happened is that they had fridgets (you can see the cupboard that held them), but they were right next to the bed and would have been too noisy.
As other reviews mentioned, this hotel is aligned with Bad Scuol and has internal access. You can wear just a robe and your swimmers, and towels are plentiful. I reviewed the baths separately. You can go as often as you like, included in the hotel price, but it does not include the Roman-Irish bath (which was well worth it as a safe Covid bathing experience).
The staff were very helpful and most spoke english although the main language is German. They helped us with bookings. Breakfast was okay, perhaps a reduced offering for Covid times. There was also a set course dinner available, but we didn't try it.
There were Covid protections in place. At the time we were there masks were not required, but there was sanitizer available. But like much of Switzerland, we didn't see a lot of people adhering to social distancing.
Perhaps it was the time of year we were there (just after summer school holidays), or perhaps it's the lure of the baths, but we did notice that at 40 something years old, we felt like the youngest people in the hotel at times.
All up, it was well worth the fairly steep price, particularly if you can take advantage of the thermal baths every day.

Great stay at a fantastc place
My son and I just stayed a week in the hotel Belvair – the last two days also my wife with two of her dogs joined us. We booked half-pension, which includes a rich breakfast and a great dinner. The dinner was excellent - each day offering meat, fish and vegetarian options. The hotel is directly connected to the Bogn Engiadina Scuol – it can be accessed in a bath robe offered by the hotel. The entry to the spa and the public transport in and around Scuol were included in our booking. The hotel staff was very warm and friendly. Highly recommended!
