Very convenient location and friendly staff

The hostel is directly behind the station, very convenient for everything. We had a double room on the ground floor which had the disadvantage of being quite noisy because the area is open plan and you can hear every conversation going on in the common area. Otherwise it was fine, very clean and also comfortable beds.
The staff were really friendly and helpful. We also had dinner there which was quite nice and inexpensive.

Convenient location and a friendly welcome

We stayed at this Youth Hostel on two occasions and were really impressed by the team of staff and their welcome. The location is incredibly convenient for the railway station - maybe slightly too close - but the use of foam ear plugs meant that we could still have windows open in the heat. If possible, ask for a room at the back over looking the garden - not as cool on hot days but the trees and shade help.

How convenient and nice!

I was very happy to find this, after my initial idea for the camping, which is located pretty remote while I came there by train.
So, that is the huge difference to start with: location-location-location! It is right next to the train station. On the other side of that there is the bus station, which I used for my trips to some bises. There is also a small supermarket on that side. Last but not least, it is also next to the city centre of Sion, which is really worth visiting.
The hostel itself is very new, clean and spacious. It has all facilities one needs, with very neat showers and toilets. The time I was there it was pretty quiet, at first I had a room of 4 to myself. One can also have dinner, which varies but can be quite nice. As a remark, take care to inform them you want dinner, as their office hours are not convenient when leaving early after breakfast.
The only disadvantage are the steep prices. But that is the sad thing about Switzerland, since they changed their policy on their currency. Of course, the hostel is still relatively cheap.

great place

One of my favorite hostels ever (and i have been to dozens over the years). good prices (31 euros with excellent breakfast buffet), very clean, convenient location behind train station, friendly multilingual staff, large size means you may get a private room or fewer people in yours (ask), lots of amenities (group kitchen, sofas, games, tv...). I recommend highly when you want a hostel. no hostel in Sierre 9 minutes by train away.

Good hostel

Stayed here before heading to the mountains for a hiking trip. Hostel was very clean, good location near the train station and staff were friendly and welcoming. Decent breakfast. Price was good also. Would stay again.
