Very good

The food was very fine. The price-performance ratio was excellent. We had a wonderful table with a view of the lake and the mountains.

Wunderfull Chataeaux Briant

If you visit this place and enyoi good food i can recommend the Chateaux Briant.
In total we had 8 different vegtables served on 2 plates. The side is either french fries or rice.
We enyoed the dinner with s good bottle of Italian Ripasso.

Excellent restaurant

My wife and I were at this restaurant on Lake St. Moritz.
Breathtaking view of the lake and the adjacent mountains, well-maintained and clean restaurant.
Everything was truly good and the Chinese meat fondue to cook in the broth was something extraordinary, paired with sauces, rice, and french fries.
Excellent wine selection and polite and attentive dining room staff.
I recommend it and we will be back soon.

We would not stay here again.
The hotel room itself was very nice, and that was the highlight of our stay. The location is excellent, but you definitely pay a premium for it.
On our first morning, there was a strong sewer odor throughout the hallway. We planned to notify the front desk when we returned later that day, but fortunately the smell had mostly disappeared.
Our first night was also disappointing because there appeared to be a wedding or other event taking place. The live band was extremely loud, making it difficult to relax.
The staff was courteous, and I understand the hotel’s commitment to paying a living wage. However, the overall level of service felt minimal and lacked the attention to detail you would expect at this price point.
Aside from the room and the location, the overall experience was underwhelming. I would rate most other aspects of the hotel a 2 out of 5.

Disappointment

We both have been, or rather had been, guests at the Waldhaus am See several times! However, this time we were disappointed across the board. It started with our arrival; the young lady at the reception could hardly tear herself away from her computer. It was asked clearly and succinctly what we would like. In response to our answer that we have a reservation for a double room, the immediate reply was that the rooms are not ready until 12:00 PM; come back at 2:00 PM for check-in. The young lady did not move from her spot during this time.
The question about the parking space was answered in this manner. In the parking lot or in the underground garage, but it does cost something. My response was that I would take the parking space, which was met with a grin and the remark: I thought so. Done.
The rooms are acceptable for a 3-star hotel, but housekeeping should also be effective as various items were missing. (toilet paper, etc.)
The service during dinner was accordingly; unfortunately, I cannot praise the kitchen anymore, as my Cordon Bleu was swimming in a sauce of butter, and the burnt side was lying on the bottom of the plate. The vegetables were overcooked, and the French fries had only been in the fryer once, and they were frozen goods. My wife's salmon was, to put it mildly, murdered again in the pan. It is also surprising to us that at breakfast, the custom is that one must fetch their own coffee. It is also strange that the dishes are almost snatched away from under one's nose.
At check-out, there was no friendly inquiry about whether everything was alright or if we enjoyed our stay. Absolutely nothing.
Unfortunately, we had the feeling that we were only there to bring money.
