Fantastic reception!

What a fantastic welcome from the reception!! He was so friendly and helpful and I’m annoyed that I can’t remember his name!
The room was lovely and clean. It was spacious and the transport links into Geneva Old Town & main town were superb.
It was only a short train ride from the airport.
A great stay and highly recommended!

Great Hotel

The Ramada Encore is something of a hidden gem. It was chosen by the holiday company as part of a package deal and I am glad they included it in their list of options. The hotel is located a few miles out of the city centre but there is a bus that runs every 10 minutes from just outside the hotel, a 3- 4 minutes walk. There is a football stadium next to it but matches are few and far between. There were none in time we were there. The conference centre next to it is separate so you are not disturbed by users. What is incredibly convenient is the shopping centre which is connected to it and which has a range of shops including a supermarket and a cinema. It also has most of the usual fast food outlets (KFC, McDonalds, Subway) which like everything else in Switzerland are unfortunately not cheap. Unlike the ordinary shops which close on a Sunday the food places are open every day to late in the evening. The Lancy Bachet train station (which is one bus stop away from the opposite direction to the city centre) services a large number of train connections. Geneva Cornavin (the main train station) is a short bus and tram ride. The rooms are well insulated and quiet. The beds are comfortable. The floors are laminate rather than the usual germ-filled carpets. The hotel does not appear to attract the rowdy element. The barrier to the front stops traffic from coming too close which again helps to keep noise to a minimum. We were concerned about the traffic noise as it close to a dual carriageway but you barely hear it. We were well looked after by the hotel staff who always responded promptly. I would stay here again if we were visiting Geneva.

Ideal for a weekend getaway

The hotel is not in the center, but you are approached by the 80 bus, in a very short time. The ticket when you have accommodation is free. The rooms are very comfortable, impeccable and with everything you need. The front desk staff, who we deal with very kindly. Although it is located next to the Geneva stadium and in a shopping mall it is not noisy at all.

Great Value, Great Experience.

Excellent experience and location. This property is miles above any other Ramada Inn I have stayed at. Overall, excellent value for your money. Would certainly stay again and recommend.
