Pleasant Surprise from Start to Finish

I felt completely at home here! The location could not be better - right in the heart of the beautiful Old Town but also only 2-3 minutes from the city center.
The hotel has a lot of charm while still feeling very modern in its design. The colors are tasteful, everything feels fresh and well maintained and honestly, it exceeded my expectations. The staff are all super friendly, always greeting guests with a smile, which creates a very welcoming atmosphere. The guest mix was pleasant and the overall vibe of the hotel was cozy.
Every room is a little different, which adds to the character of the property. The layout of my room was fantastic and the comfort level was very high.
Of course, being located in the Old Town means there can be some delivery noise from early morning onwards, which was a bit annoying at times, but that is simply a consequence of the central location rather than a fault of the hotel.
Overall, I would absolutely recommend this hotel. If you are choosing between this and a standard chain hotel, I would definitely go for a place like this instead. It offers far more character, personality and a much more memorable experience.

Amazing location, the AC really does not work, our room was 27 degrees so if you decide to travel in the summer be mindful.

Unbearably Hot Rooms

There are so many wonderful things about this hotel! It is tastefully decorated, the staff are incredibly kind, and the location is right in the heart of Zurich. With that being said, this hotel does not have air conditioning. My friend and I stayed in a suite, which we loved. However, we were unable to sleep because the room was so unbearably hot. While they did provide fans, the fans really did next to nothing for cool the room. For over $600/night, I'd expect the hotel to accommodate hotter weather in a much more effective manner. I could never recommend this hotel to anyone during the summer. We were with a group of friends, some of whom stayed at different hotels. Those at different hotels (all of which were less expensive) said they had no issues with hot rooms. This hotel really is so wonderful in so many ways, but the air conditioning situation has to be addressed.

At the same time, we sincerely regret that the room temperature during your visit affected your comfort and sleep.
Due to environmental regulations in the city of Zurich, we are not permitted to install traditional air-conditioning systems.
Instead, our rooms are equipped with an air-cooling system, which can lower the room temperature by approximately 5°C below the outside temperature.
While this solution is generally effective, we recognize that during periods of exceptionally hot weather, particularly when temperatures reach 35°C or higher, it may not provide the same level of cooling as a conventional air-conditioning system.
To further support guest comfort, we also provide fans in our rooms, and we are sorry that these measures did not meet your expectations. Please rest assured that we continuously evaluate ways to further enhance our guests' comfort during periods of extreme heat.
We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back on a future visit to Zurich and provide you with an even more enjoyable experience.

Great hotel! Helpful staff. Open to early check ins if necessary. They stored my luggage and called when the room was ready. I loved the patio.

Highly recommended - Good personal Touches

This has become our home base when in Zurich. Perfect location, very nice and friendly feel to the hotel. Friendly staff and great breakfast. Only issue I would say is the AC but luckliy we only stay there in the late winter or early spring but I imagine in summer it might be an issue. We found the rooms were quiet even though we faced the church and walkway outside. We were there last March 2025 and my son left his new track pants and T-shirt at the hotel. When we came home we just assumed they would be lost and didn't call the hotel about the items. We came back this year, same time, mid March 2026. My son was hoping they might have saved the items for us. I told him highly unlikely but we'll ask anyways. When checking in, without me asking, the receptionist mentioned they had the clothes from last year for us. Now that is service! I really couldn't beleive it. It's personal service like that that makes this place stand out.
