Simple hotel with everything you need. Right across the street from the main train station. So it is convenient and right on Bahnhofstraße with easy access to everything.

Convenient location near tram and train station, shops, restaurants. Spacious double room with AC that worked well, as we were there during a heatwave. Staff was very kind and helpful.

The staff were friendly and kind. They greeted us very happily. The hotel is at a prime location. Close to everything. Would stay here again. There's a restaurant near by called Insider. It's a must to try while you're staying at this hotel.

Old and without air conditioning
Old hotel and the air-conditioning did not work, Zurich is at 30 degrees Celsius today. Note: Presidential corner room, that is, was not something of low cost, but on the contrary. When looking for a solution they offered a lower room but said nothing about the discomfort of changing how much and minimally the change to a higher class! I didn't come to Switzerland waiting for this problem and much less a lack of solution! This hotel is worse than an experience in Venezuela.

Overpriced and decrepit old hotel
This hotel plays that old game of bait and switch. All Rooms are advertised as having Air-Conditioning, but some rooms' AC don't work. After informing staff our room's AC did not work at all, they sent and set up a portable unit that vents out via opening a window using duct tubing with a Velcro, double sticky tape contraption. Looks like they have these unit in reserve and ready to hook up already. Unit doesn't really cool, it's like a fancy fan. What it does do is let in the very noisy loud sounds from various open dinning directly below the window from the closed side street and trams and street noise from hundreds of people and cars/trucks all day and night. At some time at night had to close the window to be able to try to sleep. Asked for different room and was offered one option, a less desirable and much more noisy room facing the very loud front street with loud noises and vibrations from the many Trams a few feet away, vehicles traffic and hundreds of people walking to and from main train station a block away all day and night. Second day asked for a stand fan and started leaving water bottles outside overnight to have cool water the next day - mini fridge also did not work. When I suggested a small credit, they got downright nasty and rude. Do yourself a favor, find another hotel just a little farther away and it will at least be a lot less expensive and make sure AC works.

Mr. J yp (why don't you write your full name?), from the very beginning of your stay, you looked for excuse after excuse in an attempt to obtain some form of refund.
Let's start with the minibar: it is a standard hotel minibar, certainly not designed to store the meat you purchased from a butcher. As for the air conditioning, it works perfectly. However, during your stay it rained for several days, causing outside temperatures to drop, and the system automatically adjusts accordingly.
You booked a room with a bathtub, exactly as stated in the room description. Once you arrived, however, you decided that a bathtub was no longer acceptable and wanted a shower instead. Unfortunately, a room change was not possible because the hotel was fully booked.
Perhaps next time, instead of focusing solely on the lowest price, you should consider booking a larger room that better suits your needs.
You also complain about safety in Zurich. Do you realize what you are writing? Zurich is one of the safest cities in the world and consistently ranks among those with the highest quality of life, yet you claim the opposite.
Rest assured, this is not the right way to obtain any kind of refund either.
