Historic hotel right in the center
For one night I went to the Marktgasse Hotel in March. I arrived in the late morning, did the check-in and since my room was not ready yet, I went to the toilet to change until I returned the gentleman at the reception had found a free single room for me (without asking for it) and I could move into the 304. The room matched the description, I had a quite wide bed (about 160cm) and my bathroom was bright and very clean. The bed and bedding was very pleasant and I slept very well, in addition my room was facing the courtyard and it was nice and quiet. What bothered a bit was the Wi-Fi connection and the water while showering was getting warmer and colder. In the room there is no minibar and no kettle, but you can prepare Nespresso coffee or tea free of charge 24/7 at the reception, there is also a refrigerator there. Breakfast at Delish was good, but I expected a bit more, like fresh berries and fruit outside of fruit salad and fresh orange juice. Overall, I was very satisfied, especially the location speaks for itself, but also furnishings, wooden floors and the drinking fountains including carafes and glasses on each floor were nice.

Disrupted sleep from extremely LOUD AC unit
We had two rooms booked. On the last night of our stay, in our son’s room, the air conditioner was SO noisy he and his girlfriend could not sleep. Every hour they were awoken by a horrible clanging racket. They turned it off and it still made noise. After complaining in the morning we were given a nominal 10% off the last night, not adequate for such a disrupted sleep. The “General Manager” would not discuss with us in person. Extremely unprofessional, leaving the hard working staff at the front to relay the message. Cannot recommend. Shame, ruined what had been a great stay.

Pretty, upscale mid-range hotel with good location
We were there in February, with two single rooms, so practically the lowest category. But were positively surprised, more spacious than expected, everything was tiptop, clean, not worn out, friendly staff, water dispensers in the hallway, breakfast also good. Although not a luxury hotel, but we didn't need that either, for just wanting to sleep there.

Small fine city hotel
Small, fine city hotel away from traffic noise in downtown location. In the summer, the nightlife could provide some publicity. In March it was wonderfully quiet. Regardless, the windows seem to be very soundproof. The staff is super friendly, everything perfectly clean. At breakfast I was not sure until the end that is now 3star or 4star level. Let's say small and fine.:-)
The climate I didn't need seems to be working extremely quietly. On my part, clear recommendation for a central, upscale, small individual city hotel.

Excellent
Stayed for 2 nights, we had 2 rooms as my wife and I traveled with a friend to Zurich for the Christmas markets. Hotel is very centrally located, excellent for exploring Zurich. We had a double room and single room on the 4th floor, spacious and quirky as the floor sloped in both rooms. Breakfast was included in the deal, excellent in the Deli La Pinseria on the ground floor, very friendly staff. We had a drink in the bar/restaurant IGNIV, the bar gets very busy. Free coffee, tea and snacks in the reception area, again, very friendly staff. We had a wonderful time in Zurich
