Stunning Beach and Sunsets!
My husband and I spent 6 days over Christmas at the Seafar Resort. The beach is absolutely stunning and swimming and snorkeling right from our beachfront bungalow was just the best! The water is crystal clear and it wasn't that busy (maybe due to the conflict with Cambodia). Our room was comfy and right on the beach, but there was an awful smell coming from the drains in the bathroom - it was just the worst. Thankfully we did not stay in the room very much and we blocked the drains when sleeping. We rented scooters right from the resort and zipped around the island and also had a day on the water kayaking (which was free). We also had massages on the beach which were amazing and relaxing. The restaurant was okay, but there was a server who was very sick (coughing like crazy) which turned us off, so we ventured elsewhere for our meals other than our buffet breakfast (which was adequate). The big draw to this place is definitely the beach and the sunsets and just for that I would highly recommend it. We had a great stay!

Very quiet resort
Right on the beach of Ao Tapao from which you can enjoy beautiful sunsets. Free sun loungers on the beach. Rooms large enough for 4 people although a bit dated. There is also no kettle in the room. Hearty and varied breakfast.

Our room was better than described and staff were genuinely kind and helpful. We were able to watch the sunset from our living room and our early morning ocean dip was only steps from ourfront door. Exquisite! Thank you!

Paradise in Thailand
What a gem of a quiet resort in Koh Kood.
My partner and I had a beachfront bungalow for five nights. The view was stunning. We hired a scooter for two separate days from the resort to explore this beautiful island. This was very reasonable and included fuel.
The breakfast was varied, hot and cold offerings well presented, and coffee, tea and water were available all day.
A small minority of French guests with badly behaved kids was the only downside but not the fault of the hotel of course. Thoroughly recommend SeaFar for a tropical experience.

Great location for a retreat
Great stay on the paradise Island of Koh Kood at the Seafar.
The Island is just divine and I would absolutely recommend. It's remote location and the current political situation (tensions with neighboring Cambodia) makes it preserved and less developed destination.
The Seafar is really nice, has an AMANZING beach. The staff is attentive and courteous.
The bungalows are basic yet impeccable, neat and clean.
Possibility to borrow kayaks and snorkeling material on site.
Town is walking distance, nevertheless the use of a scooter is recommended.
Overall, great experience in a very quiet location.

During Green Season (June - Sep), the public ferry service is available. If you arrive at Koh Kood on another ferry boat, all the ferries have a free taxi service that will take you to my resort. Please look forward to this service being included in your ferry ticket. (around 20min) Rainy Season Awareness: Koh Kood's rainy season occurs annually from May to October. During this period, it may rain throughout the day or for several consecutive days. Strong winds and high waves are common, which may affect sea conditions and swimming safety. Please strictly follow our staff's instructions regarding water safety. While there are occasionally clear and sunny days, these weather patterns are typical for this season. - The beach bar is closed during this period Nearby Maintenance: Please be advised that - Maintenance work will be carried out near the swimming pool from May 13th to October 31st, 2026 (Green Season). Guests in nearby rooms may experience minor noise disturbances. - Working Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM daily (subject to weather conditions and scheduling). - General Property Upkeep & Expansion: During this period, the property will undergo various maintenance and expansion projects, including: 1. Construction of new residential units/suites 2. Interior and public area maintenance 3. Roof repairs and landscaping
