A home away from home with May and Nick
I absolutely loved my stay at this hostel! From the moment I arrived, I felt like part of a warm and welcoming family. Nick and May, the amazing couple who run the place, put so much heart into everything they do. They're always excited to share the best tips and go out of their way to make sure you're comfortable and happy. The beds are super cosy, the amenities are fantastic, and the blackout curtains mean you’ll sleep like a dream. Everything is brand new, high-quality, and clearly chosen with care. The location couldn’t be better, just minutes from two stunning beaches (one peaceful, one lively) and really close to the pier. What made my experience even more special was the genuine care that extended beyond my stay. Nick even gave me great recommendations for things to do in Bangkok afterwards and continued to help me with tips for the rest of my travels. Nearly a year later, we’re still in touch which says so much about how sincere and kind both May and Nick are. Their warmth and authenticity truly shine through in everything they do! I honestly can’t recommend this place enough! A huge thank you to May and Nick for making my island stay (and even the rest of my trip) unforgettable!

It's a fine hostel. Everything is perfect. Easy check in process. I like the auto locking door at front. I stayed here twice. Once on arrival at Koh Samet and again a week later when I left. It was very clean. Bed was large and comfy. Bathroom clean with great water pressure for the shower. Locker for your medium sized luggage. Rack for bigger bags. All good and look forward to returning,

Cocoon Hostel – Best Hostel on Koh Samet!
I’ve stayed in a few places on Koh Samet, and Cocoon Hostel is by far the best on the island. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and perfect for travelers looking to relax or meet new people. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the location is excellent just a short walk to the beach and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. May and Nick, the owners, go out of their way to make you feel at home. Whether you’re a solo traveler or with friends, this place has everything you need. Highly recommend staying here!

A lovely stay
A hidden gem just a short walk from the boat!
This cozy little hostel exceeded all expectations. The beds are incredibly comfortable, and the privacy curtains add a personal, peaceful touch — perfect for a restful night. The owners are genuinely kind and go out of their way to make you feel welcome and at home. I can’t recommend this place enough. A perfect stay from start to finish!
