Great location and good value.

I review hotels based on a combination of factors but mainly value, location, service and those other elements that can be personal for all of us. Could be just the general ambience of the hotel!
Duchess Hotel and Residence certainly combines location and value. The location could not be better in my view on Lang Suan. It’s a ten minute (hot) walk to Chitlom BTS and Central Shopping Centre. It’s close to Lumphini Park and there a plethora of restaurants within 300 metres.
The rooms are spacious and reasonably priced and price can be negotiated for longer stays. Most include cooking facilities/small kitchen and washing machine. Comfortable for longer stays.
The front of house staff are friendly and helpful and the housekeeping staff were very attentive.
The Duchess is undergoing renovations so there is no pool, restaurant or gym. This may be reflected in the price.
WiFi works well.
The tv system is poor. TVs are old. Programme selection is very basic and WiFi based and freezes continually. This was not a problem for me as I was not in Bangkok to look at Netflix. But the hotel needs to address this as part of an upgrade.
Overall this a very good hotel in which to stay in a convenient and upmarket district. I recommend the Baan Lang Suan restaurant about 300 metres up Lang Suan towards Chitlom.

Tired large suite in a great location

The reception & doormen are not as friendly as usual. The suite is large but tired, I’m sure it was lovely when it was new. 15 year old TVs (not smart TVs) have bad reception & limited choices. Don’t bother turning on. The bed & pillows are very hard! No blockout curtains, limited kitchen items eg no chopping knife, detergent, sponge, frypan, chopping knife etc. more suitable for just heating up food in microwave. All facilities are under renovation.
The hot water was hot enough for a nice bath, the aircon worked well.
Great location, between Lumpini Park & Chit Lom shopping centres & BTS.

Perfect Stay — Spacious Room and Excellent Service

The room is excellent—spacious, well-maintained, and complete with a small kitchen. Housekeeping is meticulous, and the service is outstanding. The location is unbeatable, offering exceptional value for money.

Worth the money. The location was great. Close to shopping centers and bts. However there’s a bar at ground floor which can be a little noisy when you walk pass hotel lobby. Not a kids friendly hotel for sure.

Location location

Overall good experience but facilities onsite closed during my stay room clean but needs a refresher close too lumpini park central and business area staff nice nice collection of cars onsite if that’s your thing, will definitely stay here again
