DO NOT STAY HERE
It is in the middle of nowhere!
The staff are friendly and polite and the rooms are of a fair size but besides that it's a catastrophe. See my photos. Especially the pool photo.
Booked here for 4 nights but left after 1.
The only reason I would advise anyone to stay here is if you are overnighting from the airport. On that note, the hotel is on the back of the airport near the runway, every 5 minutes you get the LOUD noise of aircraft overhead. About 7am to 11pm or later if delayed flights are coming in.

Satisfied - Some annoyances
Positives:
Close to the airport and a short Tuk Tuk ride from very nice bars and restaurants. Beds and hotel very clean and spacious. Breakfast was a strange mix rice, noodles, eggs and hot dog sausages but it was ok as it was included free. Staff were friendly.
Negatives: Right under the end of the runway (didn't bother me much), many noisy ill mannered tourists of a particular background who insisted on slamming doors and shouting at all hours in corridors, Eggs were cold as they were cooked before 7am and the same eggs were being served in the buffet up until 11am.
In need of minor repairs.
I was satisfied for the price we paid.

Noisy! take away - based under planes during take-off
Creasy to have built here... fare away from downtown - no tuk tuk or taxi counter around.
Only if you don't find anywhere better.

Manager refused to return money
To be fair, (except for airplanes) it is quiet, it has decent wooden surroundings, and the rooms are not small for the price. Staff seem to speak Thai and English well enough to communicate. Unfortunately, refusal to allow any adjustments to the stay and insisting on keeping my money left a bad impression.
