Nice individual bungalows, much better construction that the typical bamboo style. Comfy bed, bright room, clean bathroom (cold water only) and fan cooled the room adequately at night. Wifi a bit patchy but reached the bungalows closest to the restaurant.
Walking distance to one beach, mini market and a few restaurants, a bit of a long walk to the pier but doable. Can rent mopeds from them. Quiet location.

Comfy good value bungalows
I stayed for 4 nights and thought it was one of the best bungalow set ups I had seen, a lot better constructed than the standard basic bungalows you usually see which made for a much more comfortable stay, no gaps in the floorboards or daylight coming through the walls!
The rooms are individual and spread across the grounds, each has a balcony and attached bathroom. The room I had was really bright and had mosquito nets at the window. Bed was comfy and towels/sheets/soap included. The fan was enough to keep it cool at night. Bathroom was very clean, shower was cold water only & low pressure but was fine. Wifi was patchy but reached the room, not sure if the rooms on the far side would get signal.
It’s just about walking distance from the pier going uphill, about 25 mins, I was ok with a backpack but a sweaty mess by the time I arrived! In hindsight I should have rented a moped from the places by the pier. There is one small beach in walking distance usable at low tide and a handful of restaurants including Cha Chai which is the best on the island, there’s a mini market next door too. It’s very dark at night and quite a few stray dogs barking so a bit spooky to walk alone if you are a whimp like me!
Better to get a moped to explore, I arranged one via the hosts, 200 THB for 1 day or 150 THB per day for 2 or more days. Test the bike before accepting as the one I had might as well not of had a back brake and was told there are no others to swap with. The roads aren’t perfect but I’m very inexperienced and rode around for 3 days easily enough.
The hosts were chatty and pleasant, the wife was very sweet with basic English and husband with good English but definitely a business man getting payments upfront and a bit defensive when asked to better the room rate from what I had booked online but very helpful helping fix my door lock and checking boat times etc. Would happily stay again and would have stayed longer if I could :)

Simple and quiet place
I had a fabulous time here and really enjoyed the hosts, Tony and his wife. The bungalows are clean and simple, with a good bed, desk and rather large bathroom. Each has a balcony, perfect to have your morning coffee and just relax. There is no hot water and the power sometimes cuts out early in the morning, but I loved it anyways. It’s a charming and homey place, you’re not coming here for luxury.
The food at the restaurant is cheap and absolutely delicious, they make lots of authentic Thai dishes as well as good fruit shakes. It’s not right by the beach but it’s quiet and with a motorbike, you can easily get anywhere on the island. My only disappointment is I couldn’t stay longer. I already can’t wait to come back! Thank you!

Suitable accommodation for budget stay
It is the proper accommodation for modest travellers, Yes, there are some uncomfortable moments such as absence of hot water, interruptions with electricity, absence of aircon and daily cleaning of bungalow.
Also bungolows haven't bed supplies.
Location is not very close any beach, but it gets no problem to walk to beach or all the more so go with scooter. However the bungolows are lied in the middle of island at crossroads, so you can go to every beach easy.

Wir sind gleich wieder gegangen...
Das Hotel wirbt in Booking Com mit tollen Strandbildern, obwohl es 1,5 Km vom Strand entfernt ist. Die angegebenen 700 Meter Entfernung zum Strand in Booking Com stimmen nie und nimmer. Als wir dort ankamen, war weit und breit keine Menschenseele, welche das Check in hätte machen sollen. Vor dem Hotel ist ein kleiner Laden. Die Frau dort hat dann anscheinend den Besitzer angerufen und hat uns gesagt, wir müssten 30 Minuten warten, bis er kommt.Er kam dann auch aber uns hat es schon abgelöscht, weil es dermassen abgelegen waren, so dass wir grad wieder gegangen sind.
