Basic place, a little out of town. Some mould on walls in bathroom and sink in the kitchen area. Good that there was a microwave, kettle, kitchen sink and a few pots.

Quiet Place in Lamphun

This is an older building in Lamphun. Its modest but clean and well run. Its very quiet. You should have your own transport as it is away from the downtown area. The owner speaks English fluently. It is near the Phu Chang site and Wat Phru Yuan.

Apartment-style rooms in a quiet, location away from the town centre

This guesthouse is located in a quiet, remote-looking area which is not as isolated as it looks since there is a steakhouse about 200m away and a good coffee shop called Want Coffee about 600m away where you could have breakfast. The rooms resemble apartments as they come with a sink unit and microwave and are located in a couple of 2-storey buildings surrounded by a large gravel car park. Bear in mind though that Google Maps only include the Thai name of the guesthouse which should appear once you type in DNK. The owner can speak good English and, unlike most guesthouses, you can pay when you check out.
The room we had was a spacious one on the ground floor for 380 Baht with a comfortable double bed, telephone, TV mounted on a tall wooden desktop, a fridge containing several kinds of drinks, a microwave and a sink unit with plates, drinking glasses and cutlery. There is also a table in the room for eating food with two benches either side of it with some shelves on the wall. Outside, there is also a small balcony looking towards some trees behind the building.
The aircon works very well as does the free WiFi.
The bathroom is also quite big with a separate showering area where shower cream, shampoo and body wash are provided with plenty of towels.
There is a large car park on the premises with covered parking areas, but, as this is a rustic area with lots of trees and grass, do be aware that there are plenty of mosquitoes about so that fly spray might prove quite useful in case there are any in your room.
No breakfast is provided as you can either make one yourself or go out to, for example, Want Café (go right and first left) to have some food.
All in all, we were quite satisfied with the rooms and quiet location and would most likely stay here again next time we are in Lamphun.
