Love it
I really like this place. The beautifully maintained serene grounds are very satisfying, The food is fantastic. The Japanese style throughout the property is pleasing and contributes to the serenity. The staff is without exception kind, gracious and attentive. The robes and sleeping wear are very comfortable. We only stayed for 2 nights and I would love to return for 2 weeks.

9/10 stay overall. Great staff, room 301 is something special! Would’ve been a 10/10 if the food was better. Good quality and good variety just lacked a bit of flavour overall.

A Little Piece of Japan in Chiang Mai, perfected stay!
My daughter and I absolutely fell in love ❤️❤️with everything at Onsen @ Moncham.
The mountain scenery and the beautifully crafted Japanese garden made us feel as if we had truly escaped to Japan. It meant so much to my daughter because, due to her health condition, she is unable to travel to Japan. Being able to experience such an authentic Japanese atmosphere here was incredibly special for her.
We stayed in the Grand Imperial room, and it was exactly the kind of room we love. Every detail of the room was thoughtfully designed, beautifully decorated, and exceptionally comfortable. Everything felt perfect.
One of my favorite touches was the complimentary snack box, beautifully presented in a wooden box wrapped with traditional Japanese fabric. It was absolutely adorable. (It would be even more amazing if the treats inside were traditional Japanese sweets like manju or mochi!)
I also have to mention the bathroom—it was one of my favorite parts of the room. It was spacious, elegant, and such a pleasure to use.
The breakfast was outstanding, whether you’re a health-conscious traveler or simply someone who loves good food. Every dish was carefully prepared and beautifully presented. We also had dinner at the Japanese restaurant, and my father, along with everyone else in our family, agreed that it was even better than many Japanese restaurants we’ve been to in Bangkok.
Most importantly, what made our stay truly perfect was the warmth and genuine hospitality of every staff member we met. Every greeting felt sincere, every interaction was friendly, and the kindness and willingness to help went far beyond our expectations.
Our stay here was worth every single baht we spent. It’s one of those places you simply have to experience for yourself to truly understand how special it is.
If I’m fortunate enough, I will definitely come back again.
