Difficult to find and enter, but clean!
We got lost trying to find this place and once we reached there was nobody to open the door for us, so we ended up entering by the back door and at some point the neighbours took pity on us and called the staff... They finally came and gave us the keys. After this confusing moment, it was all fine. The house is made of wood and is super beautiful. Though it is not practical to have the bathroom outside, each room has a dedicated bathroom. Very clean place and super cool common area with a big table and cozy chairs.

Phimai paradise house
The Phimai paradise house is located with in walking distance to the Phimai Historical Park. The rooms are are quiet and but the bathroom is completely separate from the room you must exit your room down a corridor to your allocated bathroom.... Free breakfast consisted of rice soup which you just helped yourself as staff are not around to help.... WiFi keeps dropping out... Have to call an after hours number to get it back on line as there is no staff on site after 6 pm... Tip if you Stay there go to the Phimai Paradise Hotel and have breakfast there... You can get an American breakfast.

Non-touristy and clean
Visiting Phimai we first had to learn that hardly anybody speaks English, but we managed to communicate with what little Thai we knew plus hands and feet. First the Phimai Paradise House was kind of hard to find because all directions only lead to the Phimai Paradise Hotel. So eventually we ended up at the hotel, which wasn't a problem because they transferred us to the Guest House for free. The Guest House is about a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel, so the assumption the pool they have at the hotel could also be used by the gouesthouse guests was simply wrong. Alone for this reason I would recommend booking the Phimai Pradaise Hotel since Phimai is very hot and a pool would have been a great refreshment. Nevertheless the guest house is walking distance to anything of interest. It's five minutes to the Historical Park with the ancient ruins. The bus station and the night market are right next to the ruins, so the location of the guest house is very good. At the time we stayed there nothing was going on, I even think we were the only guests. We had booked the junior suite which was spacious clean and offered aircon and fridge. You have your own bathroom with shower but it is not attached to the room. You would have to leave your room and walk shortly through the hallway to get there. I really didn't like that. Considering the cheap price though, I think it's something one can live with.
I really liked the style of the guest house which was in a secluded area of a backstreet. We hardly ever saw any staff and there is no restaurant or bar. Generally I would rather consider it a hostel. We enjoyed our stay there nontheless and can truly recommend this if you are trevelling on a budget. Another tipp aside of the acommodation: be sure to take along decent clothes since you are not allowed into the Historical Park with tank tops or shorts.

beautiful teak wood house, quiet
The Phimai Paradise House is located about 200 meters from the entrance of the Phimai Historical Park, which makes it a great place to park for the night. The house interior is entirely of teak, which makes for a beautiful home. The owner speaks adequate English and is very accommodating to your needs. The hotel is immaculately clean and well-cared for. There are two main streets, one into town and the other out and this hotel is located on the street in between the two main ones so it is relatively quiet.
The hotel rates on Agoda are overstated as the rack rate is about 100 Baht above the "50% off" rate quoted....still a good deal. Prices at the hotel were 500-800 Baht/room. A large American breakfast is available for an additional 100 Baht/person.
Wifi is available in all the rooms. The bathrooms are down the hall, however each room has an assigned bathroom and they are squeaky clean.

Decent hostel
House is a nice old wooden building. Rooms are fine, but bathroom is not ensuite, but it's your own. Not shared. However this is not made clear on the booking pages which i didn't like. Walls are thin so you can hear your neighbors. Thai soup for breakfast is included. Full English is 100 Baht. Didn't try either, but had very good coffee and simple hot ham and cheese sandwiches at a place just around the corner. 1 minute walk to the historical park.
