Muaythai Training

My 7 day stay was for Muay Thai training, and I chose Aristo 2 by Resava because of its convenient location near tge training camp. Although there was construction next door and some roadwork nearby, the noise was only noticeable during the day. Since I was out training most of the day, it didn't affect my stay at all. The location is excellent within walking distance of Surin Beach and just a few steps from a Tops convenience store, making it easy to pick up anything I needed. The room was comfortable, spacious, and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay after training. I also got a great deal, which made it even better. Overall, I had a very positive experience and would definitely consider staying here again for our next Muay Thai training trip.

Booked this stay for 6 nights. There are lots of hidden costs staying here including cleaning and energy but that's the least of the problems. After a lengthy check in process I was shown my room which was directly opposite a building site approximately 20 meters away. The noise was ridiculously loud! And closing the door did nothing to drown it out. Unsure if that was to do with the quality of the door or the fact it wouldn't actually lock so a permanent gap was always there. Realising I couldn't possibly stay there I returned to reception where I was told I couldn't be moved. So I decided to check out and asked for a refund. I was told this would be acceptable, only for the company to go back on their word on the refund when they were contacted later. Places like this shouldn't be allowed to operate. Be warned!

My window/balcony was 7 metres away from a major construction site that was banging and drilling from as early as 7.40 am to 20.00 hrs. There was also no room safe or satellite tv as promised in the inventory. Wifi was poor and intermittent. On the positive side , the pool and gym were ok and there is a supermarket next door.
I wouldn’t go back but I guess if you are a backpacker in your 20s on a budget then it may suit you

To start off, I am not a very picky person when it comes to hotel/accommodations. All I ask for is a clean place to stay that is as advertised. Well, this place was the worst place I’ve ever stayed. First of all, it was not clean. There were stains on our sheets and towels on arrival. There was hair visibly in the shower drain. Couch was dusty (yes actual dust lol). But the real kicker for me was the abundance of hidden fees. We were halfway through our trip in Thailand when I was notified by message that I would be expected to pay the power bill as well as a hefty cleaning fee on arrival. So when you check in they require a deposit for these things. I found this super dishonest as they purposefully wait until after booking to make you aware of this, conveniently after it is too late for me to cancel my stay with full refund. And for the service and cleanliness we received? Not worth it one bit. Also, don’t be fooled by the cleaning fee, they will actually not clean your room, stock things like toilet paper, change bath towels. We were there for 7 nights and I had to use the same towel the entire week or pay a fee for a new clean one. I asked to borrow a broom at one point to sweep the room myself and was refused even that. I asked what the cleaning fee was for and it was for AFTER we had checked out. The pool although a good layout, is completely falling apart. They do not take care of this property or guests.

I stayed here for 9 days solo, was a great experience. The room was clean and everything was explained well to me on arrival including the fact that they charge for electricity, the ladies were very helpful, and there’s a security guard on site during the evenings who also very kind. The washing machine worked well, I used it 3/4 times, make sure to ask how to switch the water on during your guided tour when you arrive. The air conditioning was fantastic and worked well, just remember to switch it off when you’re not in the room. The TV took some detective work lol I had to find and Instal the device in the draws under the TV to get it to work, but once it did I was able to watch Netflix etc, just takes a little work. It’s a safe area as a solo female traveler I walked around in the evenings with ease and there’s a Tops (kinda like 7/11) right next door that’s open 24/7 overall it was a great stay, would recommend and stay again myself, the overall cost of the electric was around eight hundred bear in mind that’s over the course of nine days with me using the washing machine a few times and occasionally leaving the air-conditioning on 24/7. The deposit five thousand which you get back at the end of your stay, they deduct your electric costs from that, and there’s also a cleaning fee that’s non refundable. They communicated really well and Whatsapped me all these details before my stay started. And you can use that WhatsApp to ask any extra questions during your stay.
