A mishap at Bangkok airport that ended happily
We visited in December last year and I fell on the escalator at the Bangkok airport. We were greatly distraught that we were going to miss the flight to Phuket because first I had to go to the hospital. Fortunately we did not miss the flight due of the efforts of you and your staff. For this we are forever grateful.

never again, they charged me 7000 baht for a cigarette hole on the sunbed that was already very worn out. I understand, but 7000 baht is pure theft, no negotiation possible even if we are not responsible, especially take photos upon your arrival. far from everything, 1 hour by car for excursions

It's not the theft because we found the mattress on the terrace of your room was burnt by the cigarette which already proved that it happened during your stay. The charge was for the mattress which costs 7,000 THB. This is the special price and discounted already. We are so sorry that we had to charge to you because it was the mistake event by accidently.

The hotel is very big. We rented a family room for 4 people, master room was very big, but second room was quite small. It had a balcony. The room was not deeply cleaned, especially the bathroom. The pool was very big and great, towels were provided. Breakfast was nice and had a variety of food and drinks. The area nearby was very rural, however beach front.

Great vacation in Mai Cao.
Relaxed at the hotel from 2 to 8 March 2026 and were very pleased with it. Proximity to Phuket airport and quick check-in to the closest building to the lobby (#2) was also a plus. The room is very nice, a large bed and a practically full sofa that can accommodate a child or a short adult.
The room had everything you needed to stay. There were no gowns or toothbrushes. I know from previous reviews that they are issued on demand. Since we don't use gowns, we weren't worried. There were no disposable slippers in the room either, but rubber beach slippers. The safe is functional and didn't let us down. Included was a kettle mug and glasses, bathroom facilities. The bathroom itself could be said to be huge, slightly inferior to the size of a sleeping room. Towels, including beach towels, were in the bathroom and replaced daily. The only downside was probably the noisy air conditioning.
There were elevators in all buildings. The elevator was used twice at check-in and at check-out when we went with a suitcase, at check-in we were driven by an electric car to the entrance with an elevator. But since we were closer to room 2401 (4th floor) by stairs and closer to the sea and restaurant we always walked.
The restaurant is very nice, lots of tables and a veranda overlooking the pool. Breakfast was very good, especially compared to the breakfasts of the hotel that's closer to the airport we were at a year earlier. The staff are very polite and have always been willing to help. Everything was abundant, ranging from drinks, juices, fruits (6 kinds) to different dishes including some gifts of the sea.
Mai Kao beach was across the street from the hotel and given that the area away from large built-up areas then walking to it was not a problem like on other beaches in more crowded places.
The beach itself is also one of the longest (12 km) and with few holidaymakers. There are no deckchairs or infrastructure on the beach. We particularly liked it, there's a lot of room by the sea. It's because it's the Sirinat National Nature Park. From the beach you can also see in the distance planes taking off and landing at the airport of the island, if you wish you can easily walk or take a motorbike to the site where planes are watched, how much this service costs I don't know, we walked and took hotel bikes (it is free).
The fact that the hotel has bikes we also liked, although while we figured out how it is organized (the deposit was 300 baht per person, and after 3 hours you must pay 100 baht per hour,) , walked around to restaurants and shops Mini Big C ,7-11 and Tops. Massage parlors and mini fruit markets were in different places, including nearby.
By bike we took a trip to Saracen Bridge, it was very interesting (20 km one way, in about three hours with stops for a ride). At the hotel we just relaxed and toured and did not plan any trips, first of all because we love such a holiday away from excessive hustle and secondly we moved on to Karon to one of the hotels we like in the southern part.
In conclusion, I also wanted to say that there is an old abandoned hotel near the hotel, but it is fenced off and absolutely did not interfere with us, the windows overlooked our property,it is large and beautiful,there was also a swimming pool all along,there was also a beautiful flowering plant,lotuses were still in bloom, there were ponds with colorful fish, there is also a playground and swimming pool for children, and a gym salon,there was also a table tennis table, once even played there, but no more,as we were not bored.,There was also an opportunity to massage the feet,this was decided by phone with a lobby staff member.

At the same time, on the beach one day I saw teams of volunteers from the students of the educational institutions of the area who were cleaning up garbage in the coastal strip. Rest in January 2026
They lived in a Deluxe Sea View room, the building to the right of the reception. They didn't move in immediately, but a little before the time of the start of the move. The room is spacious, large balcony, which has a bath and a sofa. The bed is comfortable, the towels and linen are clean. The air conditioning worked well.
In the room cleaning for occupancy was not done very carefully - in the drawers of the table and bedside tables there was garbage from the previous occupants. In the following days, the cleaning was normal, but the cleaning schedule remained unclear to us - one room had already been cleaned until about 1400, the other room was gone until the evening, although the other rooms on the floor were being cleaned, the sign asking us to clean the room did not give any result, and we could not rest in peace in the afternoon, as the maid could come at any time. The common areas of the hotel were not always clean either.
The water in the shower was not always normal temperature, then hot, then suddenly cold, but not critical swings.
Breakfasts didn't seem as varied as in many hotels in Thailand 4-5*, but overall good, liked the soups, fried eggs, fruit not very much choice, pastries, vegetables, rice, noodles, pad thai was always too spicy. It was disappointing that the breakfasts announced from 6.30 a.m. were not ready at this time - all the containers started to load only after 6.45 a.m., even the coffee had not yet been brewed and heated at the beginning of breakfast, there were only pastries and some vegetables. If you have to leave the hotel early, at 6.30-6.45 no soup or anything substantial, many of the restaurant staff just showed up at that time. The eviction went quickly, the deposit was returned, there was no long wait.
Overall there was a good impression of the hotel, the downsides are there, but the place is calm, nice beach Mai Khao, which we love very much.

Thank you very much for your comments, it's very value for us, we will discuss with our Housekeeping department to look into their staff to clean the room. Our breakfast as well, we received the same comments from other guests before and we are strictly to make sure all dishes must be ready at 06.30 am. But the shower fluctuation from hot & cold, this is our first time to hear this, we will check anyway to make sure it should not happen.
