Basic accommodation by the beach, a fan in the room that I did not use. Good food, very nice and helpful staff. If you don’t like your own company, this is not for you, the external stimulation in the form of things that happen is minimal. Perfect place to socialize, play games, read books, meditate etc. Tips I'll come back

Amazing views
All the rooms have a fantastic view of the sea at this friendly & well run place.
The swimming is lovely straight from your room & the setting is just great.
There’s a great restaurant & an honesty system - you jot down what you’ve ordered and pay at the end.
The electricity is advertised as being on 6pm-midnight, but was on quite a bit more than that when I was there.
Lovely atmosphere & well run.
My only negative - my bathroom wasn’t that clean & I had ants in my room, neither of which spoilt my stay ️

Told we could pay by credit card, not so. The owner of the resort had left for 1 month taking the card machine with her. Put us in real financial problems. Service at the restaurant was bad 1 1/2 hours for our meals to arrive. Then the waitress accused me of being maw (drunk) I was appalled by her comment. Lets say we didnt eat there again.

Quiet, relaxing - we loved it
Koh Chang Resort is located in an exellent place. We had a beach front room (cottage) and loved to sit on the veranda and look out to the sea, and listen to the waves. Kae the owner spoke english, she is a funny and nice lady, that helped us with everything we asked for. The swimming is not so good as at Koh Phayam, but OK (very shallow on low tide) and there are sandy beaches on both sides of the resort. We had all our meals at the resort, not easy to visit other resorts, and the food was good. They have a small quay or pier which is very handy for landing with a boat. There is a boat leaving twice a day for Ranong and back. Electricity is 6 hours in the evening.
The bathroom was not well taken care of, and not very clean. I cannot really understand when they have such a nice place, that they do not take better care of it. Updating the bathroom would make wonders to the place. Behind the beach front rooms there were new rooms, but I would never swop one of them with the beach front room. Beware that Koh Chang Noi is not a very developed Island, but that did not bother us, we would like to go back. The headline may seem not to match the score I'll give 7,5 out of 10, but that was really because of the bathroom. We loved the place.

Nice location with bad service. Be sure to book online not to be overcharged.
The location of the resort is really nice. But we felt highly overcharged! We were in contact with the resort before and asked to book a room. Since the atmosphere in this area is very friendly and amicable, we preferred rather to book directly at the resort as through a booking website, where a high percentage goes to the website itself.
They told us just to come by and not to worry as they would have several room for us to pick from. We asked again twice about the rates and to book in advance, but where told to pick a room on site and not to worry. Since we have seen prices online and were in a vacation mood, we just went there. To our surprise the price we were asked to pay, was about double of the highest prices we had seen online - for the same period. And there were only two rooms of the same category left. Our bungalow wasn't even one of the nice beachfront ones, but set back in second row, with a view to the beach over the pathway and two other bungalows. So certainly not the highest category. When we pointed out the high room rates, we were told it was due to the fact that our bungalow had 24hrs electricity, which we found out during our first night was a lie. We don't mind not having electricity 24/7 as we know is normal on this island. But to lie about it and use it for clearly overcharging us is without words!
In addition our room hadn't been cleaned before our arrival with brown stains on the toilet, shampoo and tooth past marks all over the bathroom, sand everywhere and missing toiletries. When we pointed this out - in a very friendly way as we know the matter of losing his/her face is a big thing in Asia - the maid came to our bungalow but was clearly very angry at us. The second night the room wasn't cleaned either so we had to go and ask for toilet paper to be able to use the toilet. All this mades us feel very uncomfortable.
All in all a nice resort but due to several problems mentioned above, not a place to feel at home and find total relaxation unfortunately!
