Good central accommodation

The guesthouse offers very good quality accommodation, located right opposite the beach and central in Pak Meng resort area, surrounded by restaurant options. Our room was large, clean and comfortable with a great large double bed. The bathroom was very smart and modern although we struggled to get hot water from the shower. The owners are a very friendly couple, happy to chat and provide advice on the area. Although the accommodation is bang in the middle of the resort it was very quiet at night. Our only criticism is that we find it quite expensive and it was by far the dearest guesthouse of our 4 week tour of Thailand.
If you’re arriving from Trang then the minibus costs 80 baht per person and will drop you immediately outside. The return bus stop is at the roundabout about 10 minutes walk turning right out of the guesthouse. At the roundabout you need to turn right and the bus shelter is a little way along the road on the left (not the shelter right on the roundabout). Buses are every half hour and take about 45 minutes.

Basic

Pakmeng Beach resort is a small motel like line of rooms perpendicular to the main road and beach. The room was fine, nothing special, and large. Chairs were outside the door. Lots of restaurants in the area. Little English spoken in the area. Longtail boats were available for hire to the islands. Motorbikes and bicycles were for rent in the office. Good WiFi. No breakfast. Hot water.

Fabulous position

Opposite the beach at Pak Meng, this is a great little find! The Guesthouse is clean, with good sized rooms and bathrooms. Fully airconditioned, with satellite to. The minus here is that we could find nothing in English!
The cafe has great coffee and is a very short walk to Ther restaurants and of course, the fabulous beach!
