OUR BASE IN KPG WHEN TRAVELLING FROM SAMUI

Very nice cheaoand small resort in KPG .The family runnig the resort is very friendly , old thai style and is is really nice .Prices are cheap specially if you go during FMP time .Close to tongsala and also easy to go to Haadrin by bike .You can rent bike at the resort at normal price and they can pick you at the pier when you arrive and bring you back when you leave.I know the owners from a very long time .Pls do not change anything

Big disappointment, stay away

Immediately we felt like we are being scammed with our reservation. We had booked a non-smoking bungalow with a douple bed and it was awful. So strong of a scent there was of cigarette smoke inside. We had it changed luckily in to another bungalow.
The man who we presume is the “manager” in the place started to accuse us when we tried to negotiate about our staying in the resort. No flexibility at all. He just said that it’s your foult you accepted this and that you have already once changed your bungalow. The ladies who do the work in the place were very helpful. But for us that is not a game changer about this place. We would never in a million years recommend this place to anyone. So horrible was our staying.
And as a cherry on the top, the beach they say is in 100 meters from the resort. Well, for us it felt like another scam. There is ocean in 100 meters from it, but no beach what so ever.
The whole resort makes you feel that they are there because they just want to rip you off and have as much money from you as possible. We left the resort one day earlier than we had booked but payed the whole thing.

Lovely little place!

Stayed for 4 nights through the full moon party, lovely little bungalows in a more quiet part of Koh Phangan but still within walking distance to some shops and restaurants. Need to hire scooter or get taxi to Haad Rin or ThongSala. Family run accommodation and excellent value for money, basic but has everything you need if you're not fussy. Breakfast was really good and the staff were so helpful and happy to help. My only criticism is I got bitten really badly here with Mosquitos at night because there's a gap in between the slide doors.

Good value for money.

Very clean,so polite people and spacious bathroom..nice bed,the thai massage there is pretty nice..with tv and fridge.very decent choice for the money...havent got a chance to try the food.about 10 mins from the pier with bike.

Without a question best place to stay on Koh Phangan

Staying at Ban Tai will be one of the best decisions of your life. The people are so genuine bringing an atmosphere for whatever your flavour is, really allowing for you to feel the island vibe. The employees look out for their hostel mates, the activities during the evening provided by the hostel gave you the opportunity to enjoy some chill not so touristy spots which not to mention were after some great evening games with the squad. Super Bonus there's a Netflix room!
