Budget and cool place

We took a bungalow for 150 baht. Didn't expect much, but the place was quite nice. Out of the city, quiet, bungalow is new, small but convenient. Toilet is far away. WiFi was good and available in the bungalow. In this price breakfast is included! Just coffee and a toast, but it's amazing. Lots of cats around, we counted over 11! Owners are very friendly.
Guesthouse is far from the city center, so you will need a transfer, which costs about 200 - more that a bungalow price)) But if you have your motorbike it's not a problem. By the way, they provide motorbike rental service.

Great place to rest for a day

This place is a lovely little hidden gem, its a little out of town but when we got there the owner gave us a map of the area where we can find lots of street food and restaurants. We used the free bikes to ride there. They are a bit rusty but the market is very close by, so they do the job!
Owners are lovely too and let us have a bbq with some food we bought from the market. Very clean and nice shower room.

Great affordable place

We stayed at the banana cabins for just under a week and loved the piece and quite. The family was lovely and helpful during our visit. Thanks you so much for all your hospitality.
If you want to venture out into city or travel around I would advise in hiring a motor bike. Surat Thani is a large city with lots of large provinces around. Taxis can be expensive if using everyday trust me, there is the local bus which is cheap but this only comes every so often.

one of my favorites

First of all: the 'staff' was SO awesome. They helped us with literally everything. Gave us bikes, showed us the market, organized our trip to the full moon party... lovely couple! It's a bit far away from the train station, but it's beautiful and we got a lot there for our money. Was one of my favorite stays :)

A bit far yet cozy

From train station to banana cabins is quite far however they provide transportation as well. We're lucky to even get to eat fresh coconut. Beautiful site and its reception open 24 hour. It's worthwhile to stay at this place for one night for backpackers who reach surat thani in middle of night.
