Mid-range accommodation

The hotel price relatives, a little old accommodation, but the maintenance is OK, the room high floor so more quiet, the view is close to the building - main transportation is also convenient. Breakfast on the 2nd floor, you can eat a full of Chinese meals, at the price of the accommodation people feel that it is possible to see many foreign travelers stay here. Overall, it is a medium-sized accommodation experience.

This hotel, while on the older side with standard facilities, truly shines in its cleanliness. Everything felt well-maintained and spotless, which is always a huge plus.
The breakfast offers a good variety of options, which is a definite highlight. You'll find many choices, including an egg and danbing (Taiwanese egg pancake) station, which is a nice touch. While the selection is plentiful, keep in mind that the quality is standard, so don't expect gourmet fare.
Its location is a bit of a mixed bag. If you're arriving by train, be aware that it's quite a distance from the Taichung Train Station. However, for those relying on public transport, you'll find it incredibly convenient with bus and MRT stations very close by. There's also a nice park nearby, which is great for a pleasant stroll or some fresh air.
Overall, it's a good option, especially if your plans keep you in this specific area of Taichung's East District. However, if your main objective is proximity to the Taichung Train Station, you might find other hotels in a similar price range that are more conveniently located.

The staff was very nice and helpful and the room was large but there were a few things about the stay that would make me not want to stay here again. First and foremost, there's no hand soap in the rooms. They said that they didn't provide disposable toiletries but I never would have imagined that included hand soap. That just made me feel very uncomfortable and felt like the whole hotel was gross that no one was washing their hands. I had to go to the store and buy my own hand soap. Secondly the carpets in the room were extremely dirty and stained. However the rest of the room was pretty clean. Lastly there was very loud music playing from somewhere around me for most of my stay. It was there when I checked in around 16:00 and stopped around 21:00 but resumed at 9:00 the next morning. I did appreciate the free laundry, including laundry detergent, but the dryers are the old kind that don't actually dry your clothes no matter how long you leave them in for.

Average stay at the hotel. Though its a old hotel, it is reasonably maintained. Plus point is there is a famous yakiniku just beside the hotel, worth the try!
