Room, staff, check in at floor 40 was really good instead of standing in line at reception.
Breakfast was really good.

I was expecting to use the ficility before I check in ,while I as check in the front desk didn’t tell me the time for breakfast time and everything,she seems want me to reed my self thus is first!
2: I went to 11 floor about 8::0 pm the staff say my room doesn’t including the SPA only gem and pool is free ,after 40 minutes later I call frenzy desk again they say my room it’s including the Spa ,the lady wants charge me 1000 for entry
I never have this experience before,since I was gold membership fr Hotel
So it’s really bed experience for my stay ,
Plus I need early check out have not much time to use the SPA again !!

Not so Grand - "has been" hotel

Grand Hilai Kaoshiung is not up to par with other 5 star properties:
Pros:
• Good location, very convenient for getting around.
• Rooms were clean
• Large breakfast buffet with plenty of options.
Cons:
• Hotel feels quite dated – rooms and common areas look old and need an update. It looked about the same when I was there close to 20 years ago.
• Breakfast buffet quality is DISAPPOINTING , more quantity than quality.
• Spa/health club is VERY crowded and clearly SHARED with outside members. Spa feels more like a busy public club than a relaxing hotel facility. This sharing with outside members wasn’t clearly communicated beforehand, which reduced the overall experience.

Second time was good as the first time

It was the second time that we visited Grand Hi-lai Hotel Kaohsiung, and we were totally happy with the experience this time. The fact that this hotel directly connects to one of the grandest department stores was a big plus for us. We did not need to go out for dining or shopping. We stayed at the hotel and enjoyed tremendously good dishes at the department store's food court.
