E-Coast Star Hotel - Friendly, Honest, and Clean in a very convenient area

My husband and booked at e-coast star hotel and it was such a magnificent experience. It was a small hotel but very quaint, clean and friendly. We were routed to Keelung after missing our cruise ship that started in Seoul Korea because of transportation failures. We were apprehensive because we didn't the local languages but that was easily managed with Google translate. The staff was excellent and very concerned about their honesty and our comfort. When we were concerned about where to meet the cruise lines the next day, the staff excitedly took us to the street and pointed to the cruise building all the while providing detailed instructions via our cell phones. Everyone was very accommodating and way concerned about handling our trip with integrity. The cruise terminal was about a block away, against the ocean, and had abundance restaurants, shopping and other transportation options. We spent our free day before the ship's arrival exploring Keelung, which we loved. Excellent people. We enthusiastically recommend the E-Coast Star Hotel!
The E-Coast Star Hotel left my husband and I with warm Asian memories in a land that was new to us. Thankyou E-Coast Star Hotel.

Top Hotel if you wanna stay for a night or two, you get a handful of goodies and you are maybe 10 minutes away from the night market. Only thing that’s quite annoying was there was a problem with the lights which resulted in the lights if turned off flicker every couple minutes. Also they gave me a Breakfast, which I didn’t use.

Hotel staff is friendly. The room a little bit old and has slight musty smell. About 15-20 minutes walk to Keelung train station.

Good Budget Hotel, very small room.

The hotel is in a good location, you can walk to the famous night market but not too close where it is too busy. For a budget hotel this is a great option that includes breakfast.
The Good:
- Good Location
- Check in was fast
- Breakfast was simple but enough
- Amazing water pressure in the shower (very impressive pressure)
Not as good:
- Room is small, just enough for a bed. I would not suggest to eat or do work in the room
- Still using physical key (not a card)
- The room does not lock when you close it, you have to use key to lock it
Overall if you are on a budget this is a great option
