Beautiful lodge next to MCF school

Very lovely lodge with beautiful gardens and swimming pool. I stayed for 3 nights in a room w balcony. Room spacious w mosquito net. Basic breakfast included. Next to MCF school for children. We visited the school, donated school supplies and the children sang to us. The staff is welcoming and loving.

Refreshing stay : a glimpse of River Karanga and Mount Kilimanjaro

Driving on the highway from Holili border..we missed the left slide that exits the highway towards MCF.
Nevertheless, Connie was helpful with directions and we found our way.( Changbay vipodozi was her pin, take the dirt road that branches off the highway)
It was all 'up' from there..Lady and Connie made sure we were comfortable in two adjacent rooms( Mom,dad and two boys) The zanzibari chicken supper was delicious.
The rooms were clean. The shower was hot and refreshing.
We enjoyed the sitting space/foyer where we played "Uno" while we had our tea.
Watching Kilimanjaro head on at breakfast was exhilarating although The River Karanga was the climax of our stay.
The boys trekked down the bank and took lots of pictures and picked some river pebbles as souvenirs.The sound of the river streaming down is an antioxidant!!

Super, super!!

Love, love, love this place! We were a party of 11 including 7 children. Mama Kann, Ruth, Contessa and the gang could not have been more welcoming. Birthday cake and party for the 11 year old will be hard to top. Catering (fab. salad), pool, and accommodation all excellent. Added bonus of meeting the school children next door was very special. Wish we could have stayed longer...

Fine hotel to stay at the first night in Tanzania

We arrived at this hotel directly form the Kilimanjaro airport where we were picked up by a driver arranged bij Makasa Tanzanian Safaris. We were welcomed by three(!) very kind ladies who showed us to a table outside. We first had a drink (my first Kilimanjaro beer - lovely) where all three of them stayed to watch me drinking. We were then escorted to our room (we were the only ones staying at the hotel that night). The room was spacious and clean. We slept as roses en woke up the next morning when we had a very nice breakfast, served by the same 3 ladies! A great place to stay at! We would come back again!

Love this place!

I would say that the best thing about the the K lodge is the people that work there. So kind, friendly and fun. The lodge is so clean, and the view of the mountain while having a most amazing meal is spectacular.
If I lived closer, I would go there all the time
