Summit Retreat is so friendly and relaxing!

Summit Retreat is a relaxing oasis during a busy travel week! I just arrived today before I will head to Kilimanjaro and then a safari. The staff is super friendly. I have great WiFi connection. The dinner I had was delicious. The room is so cute! It is my first time here and I feel very welcomed.

Good gateway to Kilimanjaro

Modest, clean, well kept hotel that is walking distance (or a very quick tuktuk ride) to shops, banks/atms, and restaurants. Really friendly, caring staff, from the front desk to security guards. Good hot meal options. Great budget choice for travelers just needing a safe, clean, convenient place to stay pre and post climb. The only things I would note are: (1) the wifi only really works in the lobby and on the front porch; and (2) if you're staying on a weekend night, including Sunday, ask for a room that is not at the front of the hotel (preferably in the garden) because there is a nightclub nearby that plays loud music into the late hours of the night. This unfortunately kept all of us up for several of the hours the night before we left for Kili as well as the night we returned.

Amazing place

Best place and amazing staff. We really enjoyed our stay. Very cosy and well maintained. BEST FOOD EVER. Highly recommend and definitely staying there again when We come back to Tanzania.

Great place to stay when climbing Mt Kili!

Everyone was so welcoming and caring! We stayed prior to and after climbing Mt Kili. The team was very helpful and kind. Also located in a quiet area and close to walk to a great coffee shop - Ssoh. Highly recommend!
