A must for Star Wars fans

For fans of the Star Wars saga, this is a unique and memorable stop, blending film history and local culture. Pleasant meal, salad, egg brick, couscous, and watermelon.

Review that combines lunch + visit at the museum
Lunch fair, nothing special but tasty, entree with usual Tunisian cold salad with onions tomatoes cucumbers, fried egg with pasta fillo, water melon
Museum very under exoectations
Fortunately it was included in our bigger tour, so we had to pay nothing

A unique lunch amidst a troglodyte atmosphere and references to Star Wars!

We stopped at this hotel restaurant for a quick lunch during our excursion to the desert, and it was a wonderful discovery. The establishment is carved out of typical troglodyte dwellings, which makes the atmosphere extremely unique and evocative, enriched by continuous and fascinating references to Star Wars.
We enjoyed excellent typical Tunisian food, definitely good and well-prepared. A highly recommended stop for the excellent cuisine and the uniqueness of the location!

Great stop on your travels!

Went with 35 seniors on tour in Tunisia. Did not stay at the hotel but had a really good lunch in the restaurant. Great food...Great service! Star Wars! Close to berber cave homes in Matmata!

Hyped up film location

Visited here as part of a Sahara excursion. We didn’t have a room only food. Before entering, we were hassled by locals trying to persuade us to bottle feed a baby camel or buy items. They wouldn’t take No for an answer despite ignoring them. The meal was OK, couscous with chicken and egg briques & salad but portion sizes were tiny. Drinks including water were extra so we didn’t bother. The staff weren’t very friendly and quite verbally aggressive to others in our group when they tried to overcharge them. Luckily, the tour guide intervened.
The Star Wars set costs 4 dinar to access which is roughly £1.00. To pay anymore would have been disappointing. The individual rooms are quite dilapidated and broken tables, chairs and generic junk are scattered about. Avid Star Wars fans would be disappointed. Would I recommend, NO unless you can look beyond the condition and rubbish.
