Almost but not quite
This is a gorgeous hotel. It is beautifully decorated and is located in a magnificent area. . The bedroom is lovely, the bed is comfortable, the pillows are soft. The bathroom is fairly well stocked, however, a few things could be improved. There is not enough shelf space nor outlets in the bathroom, and there is nothing to put the soap on in the shower. Unfortunately, our shower was broken and we had nothing but scalding hot water. Other than that, the breakfast was excellent, and we had omelettes to order

Yes, but...
Our luxury room (#4) was spacious, luxurious, and very well decorated. We stayed there for 4 days. The terrace, the pool, the atrium, and the breakfast room including the buffet were up to the standards of a 4-star hotel. However, we experienced a few disappointments. The bathroom has a tub with a shower installation despite a description that mentions a bathtub, toilet, and shower. We expected to have a separate shower, but there isn't one in this hotel. The hotel is located in the heart of the tourist area, and there are only 3 parking spaces for about twenty rooms. We were able to park in a free parking lot a little further away. However, we had to carry our luggage to the hotel by climbing about thirty steps... We had requested a taxi on the first day to take us to the airport upon our departure. We were confirmed 3 times by 3 different reception staff that the price would be 20 TND. This amount corresponded to the amount paid for our transfer from the airport to our hotel in Tunis (20 TND) as well as the amount paid when we returned our rental car near the airport to go back to Dar Saïd (16 TND). But upon arrival, the driver demanded 65 TND from us... Ultimately, the driver only received 35 TND since that was the only cash we had. We communicated with the hotel, which refuses to accept the blame, asserting that it was not 20 TND but 20 Euros!!!

Regarding the airport transfer, we would like to clarify that the 20 EUR transfer fee was indeed the correct rate communicated by the hotel, in accordance with the applicable transfer price for this area. We regret the misunderstanding concerning the currency and the inconvenience caused by the amount requested by the driver upon your arrival. This situation does not reflect the rate arranged by the hotel.
Concerning the luggage and the stairs, the hotel is located in a historic building, and the stairs are an integral part of its original architecture and character. Unfortunately, due to the nature and location of the property, they cannot be avoided. Nevertheless, had we been informed upon your arrival, our team would have been happy to assist you with your luggage. If arriving by taxi or private car, guests are welcome to call the hotel, and a member of our team can come to meet them and help carry their luggage to the hotel.
Regarding the bathroom, we are sorry that the configuration did not correspond to your expectations. Our rooms are designed according to the architectural characteristics of the property, and we take note of your comment regarding the description of the bathroom facilities.

elegant hotel
Staff were great. This hotel is on beautiful grounds with a great view of the water. The rooms were average size with a modern bathroom sink and shower. Beds were comfortable. Furniture in the room was adequate. Quaint decor and colorful outside. There is a nice pool. good restaurants nearby.
