Hotel Marabout - Families and Couples Only is on the beach, about half a mile from the center of Sousse. It features a large swimming pool with water slides. Hotel Marabout - Families and Couples Only has comfortable rooms with a private bathroom and air conditioning. Each room has a balcony offering a view of the sea or the town. The Marabout Hotel features a choice of theme bars and restaurants available in the hotel, on the beach and by the swimming pool.

I am a fussy eater and the wonderful cheif chef Jamal cooked grilled chicken for me whenever I asked, as I really struggle with sauces and have allergies so dont want to risk things. The barstaff are very friendly, especially Rayen, Amine , Omar Imed, reserving tables when required and table service...obviously tipping to get such service.
The pool is big, however the floor dos become rather dirty and could do with poolside cleaners more frequently. No problems with sunbeds, a lot get reserved, again by staff, for tips, but we weren't bothered about where we sat and never had an issue finding a bed. The snack bar food is ok, hit and miss but the chips are nice lol. The bar there needs to be better stocked and open after 5 for all inclusive guests using the beach, as its a long walk to the bar at the terrace. The paid bars and restaurant are open though. Unfortunately only 2 poolside toulet cubicles each for men and women, and the day guests use them for changing in, which is not good as they take so long, and they are small, si along with the poolside showers, they need a changing area for day guests. The animation team is large with lots of activities going on, especially like sasha and snoopi who made us very welcome , especially on this return visit. Kids disco can last up to 45 min, so is either good or bad depending on your group, I personally love it, even without children here, although it does start late, as late as 9.30 sometimes, and the music they play prior to this...leaves a lot to be desired. You cannot rent pool / towels, however the onsite shop sells them from 20 dinar (approx £5). There is a kids club, henna tattos, which looked beautiful, an ice cream/ waffle / crepe stand (pay) and the silver jewellery shop sells very beautiful and very well priced items, especially compared to other hotels.

The Best holidays
The animation team was one of the best parts of the holiday. A special thanks to Sacha from Russia, who was always friendly, funny, and full of energy.
The evening shows were also great. There was something different every night, and the atmosphere was always fun. Overall, it's a good place if you want to relax, enjoy the beach, and have entertainment throughout your stay.
